The ADK Microphones Vienna Edition is a condenser microphone that is designed for use in the recording studio. It has a cardioid polar pattern pick up and will cover the full frequency spectrum - 20 Hz to 20 KHz. Like all condenser microphones, it requires phantom power and has a traditional XLR output.
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using the ADK Microphones Vienna Edition mic for about two years or so. I have found that for such a cheap price, the ADK Vienna is a great overall microphone, and is effective in a number of different situations. The sound quality is pretty clean and full, and makes for a good vocal microphone. I have also used the ADK Vienna mic for acoustic stringed instruments, like acoustic guitar. While it works well in both situations, this wouldn't be my first choice mic in any situation, as I have better mics that are more well equipped than this. This being said, the ADK Microphones Vienna Edition condenser mic will do a good job with whatever you decide to record with it, and is reliable in a few different situations. The shape of the microphones and the location of the capsule makes it best suited for both lead and back up vocals, but probably works best for female vocals rather than male, in my opinion. The price of the ADK Microphones Vienna Edition is the best part of this mic, as it makes it suitable for amateurs and home studio owners. It also has a great look to it, that makes it look much more expensive than the actual price. While I wouldn't recommend this to professionals, as there are a ton of other mics out there that I would rather use, the ADK Microphones Vienna Edition is a great choice for home studio owners looking to get a lot of bang for their buck. Overall, this is a good sounding microphones with a great price.
