Apparue aux côtés de la Thinline et de la Deluxe en 1972, la Custom troque normalement son micro manche habituel pour un Wide Range développé par Seth Lover. Ici le micro neck est un humbucker façon Micawber de Keith Richards et plus précisément un Seymour Duncan SH-6 Distortion. Le manche en érable, touche érable au radius de 7,25 pouces et associé à un corps couleur noir.
