Publié le 14/05/12 à 06:29 (contenu en anglais)This synth is cool, I'll give it that. One the other hand it's learning curve hits like a brick wall. It takes WAY too much work to squeeze even the most basic synth sounds out of it, though it has some cool concepts and features. It distorts easily, it's confusing, some things don't work the way you'd think they would. It's just really hard to use, and for 129 bucks, you could get something WAY better. The matrixes are super confusing, and I couldn't understand the manual. It's just not worth the money, yet. If you want to spend hours you sure can get some awesome sounds out of it, but it's kinda like a modular, clunky and impractical. I guess it's fun to toy around with, but I have yet to find a single use for it. It would work better if it was more like Ableton's Operator Synth, which works in much of the same way, but without the confusing matrixes and easier options. The problem with this synth is it's about as efficient as a modular, and way less fun. I have yet to see anything cool done with this synth, and there's almost nothing on youtube. If you do buy this, beware of the headaches you will face. The programming of the synth is powerful, and flexible, but too hard and involved, it's simply not useable. I have (with much work, confusion, headaches and time) squeezed some awesome sounds from this thing, but nothing truly useable, or that I couldn't have gotten from a "lesser" synth. It would be worth if maybe it only cost like 20 bucks, but 130 is not worth it. Maybe someone will actually find a use for this synth, but I sure didn't, I've used simpler granular applications. I say save your money and get LinPlug's Albino 3.00
