Fabriqué par Palm Products GmbH (PPG) en Allemagne, le Wave 2 est doté d'oscillateurs à table d'ondes numériques combinés à des filtres analogiques (CEM3320), permettant aux utilisateurs d'explorer une vaste gamme de sons dynamiques et évolutifs révolutionnaires pour l'époque.

Avec une polyphonie à 8 voix, le Wave 2 offre des timbres uniques, ce qui en fait un favori parmi les musiciens et producteurs d'avant-garde des années 1980.
