The P 16-M is a personal mixer made by Behringer, it is very affordable and well made. This mixer cannot be racked but it does not take up much space on your workspace because it is pretty small. It has a 3 band EQ on each of the 16 channels and they have a mid band sweep. This monitor mixing system is high quality and perfect for live use which is the reason why I purchased it. It is beyond affordable and comes with LIT buttons and knobs to let you distinguish what is what in a dark room which really came in handy for me since I mostly work out of clubs.
UTILIZATION
The P16-M is powered by a standard wall jack, and you can even mount this to a microphone stand as long as you purchase the P16 MB which is a microphone stand adapter for the P16-M. The manual is clear and sufficient if you need it but you probably won’t need it. All of the basic functions of using this personal mixer are easy to use and understand.
SOUNDS
The EQ on this mixer is great, you will have full control just from the 3 band sweep able EQ. This mixer will fit any style of music that you choose to use it with. There are not any effects or filters, it is only used to connect all your sound sources and distribute your sound to where you want it to go.
OVERALL OPINION
This inexpensive mixer is worth the buy, especially if you are a live performer and have many speakers and need a system that can control them all. With the LED lights you will be able to see what you are doing in a poorly lit room. This device is very portable and goes everywhere with me. I use it about 3 times a week and it has never let me down. I plan on using it for a long time and have no reason to upgrade it because it has all of the functions that I need for my current set up.
