Solide plus et moins
Publié le 18/08/11 à 19:06 (contenu en anglais)The Gibson Les Paul standard plus is an exceptional guitar that features a beautiful flamed fingered maple top that mixes very well with the mahogany body in the mahogany neck with the rosewood fretboard. These are some of the best Les Paul that you can buy outside of the heritage vintage modern type Gibson Les Paul that they're currently building or the custom Gibson Les Paul's that they have been doing for years. This is right in the middle of the Les Paul price range when it comes to the intros to the ultra high retail guitars.
This one has an exceptional top that sits on a nice thick mahogany body with a mahogany neck and a rosewood fretboard. A really nice pearl block inlays on the fretboard and also features to volume knobs with two tone control knobs. This is pretty standard set up with Gibson Les Paul's as far as future goes and functionality.

SOUNDS
The tone of the Gibson Les Paul is so iconic and easily recognizable when you hear an album that features this guitar on it. It stands out from the Fender Stratocaster and a Fender telecaster as well as many of the Ibanez guitars. This guitar has a good rock 'n roll tone that doesn't clean up very well when it comes to sparkling chimy clean tones but the high gain tones are one-of-a-kind.
This guitar sits well with a Marshall high gain amplifier very well. It's like the two instruments were just built for each other. They have a awesome connection with the Marshall voicing and the natural tone from this guitar. Throw in a good analog or digital delay and you have a great rock 'n roll tone that will fit well with most music.
OVERALL OPINION
I recommend this guitar to anyone who wants to step into a professional guitar that has a great look up great build for some of the best tones that you can get. At new you can find these guitars for about $2699 which is pretty expensive for most people's budgets. Again this is a guitar that is marketed towards someone who is either professional or knows exactly what they want and has the money to do it. This is a rock 'n roll guitar and a players guitar for sure and it is not a custom showroom piece. This guitar will treat you well night after night of digging and will be a great companion to your rest to your guitar rig.

SOUNDS
This guitar features two humbucker pickups two volume control knobs and two tone control knobs. Your have a general pick up selector that selects one of the two pickups or to select the inventory between position of the pick ups. At first features it's pretty basic and there's no added boosts or coil splitting in this guitar.
These guitars matches very well with Marshall amplifiers. They were great with the Marshall plexi or Marshall JCM 800 type circuit amplifier. Something between those amplifiers and these guitars just match very well. Use it with some delay or some other modulation effect and you can just great hard rock and metal tones. The wood of this guitar is primarily based with mahogany wood as the body in mahogany wood and in the neck. On top of the fretboard you have a rosewood fretboard which balances out the tones at this guitar very nicely. The maple top is another highlight to this guitar's tone. Overall to great sounding guitar and definitely one of the most heavily used guitars and all of music.
OVERALL OPINION
You could find these guitars do for right around $2700 which is a great price for a great sounding American Gibson Les Paul. It's a fun guitar anniversary guitar great for gigging or recording. There's nothing like a Gibson Les Paul and there's really no other guitar that sounds quite like this guitar or instrument.

Hors de ce monde bon!
Publié le 29/10/11 à 23:59 (contenu en anglais)The Gibson Les Paul is definitely one of my favorite instruments that I've ever enjoyed playing. It's extremely versatile guitar overall and a ton thate is just fantastic. You get a very thick and beefy tone because of the mahogany wood on the body and a neck. The two humbucker pickups also add a nice thick juicy tone to the instrument.

These guitars feature two humbucker pick ups installed with two volume control knobs into town control knobs. Get a pick up selector on the top body and that's pretty much at it as far as features go. It's a very basic guitar but a extremely versatile instrument.
I love the tone of these guitars when you mix it with a good high gain amplifier such as a Mesa boogie amplifier or a Marshall amplifier. When using it with the Marshall amplifier at the two voicings of that amplifier in this instrument mix very well. If you use a bunch of the fax with a clean send or type amplifier this guitar won't sound as good because it's not really built to do the clean style of tones. It really excels in a thick warm tone.
OVERALL OPINION
I highly recommend his guitars to any guitarist out there who needs a great verso guitar for digging or recording. These guitars are very cheap but they're not extremely outrageous and price either. They are mostly a professional's guitar so this is it for a beginner or a newbie guitar player. These guitars have a nice thick tone and overall a great sounding instrument for pretty much any style of music that you use. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone because it's such a great instrument and has such a great feeling tone overall.
