    Double Fusion humbucker

contenu en anglais (contenu en anglais)
The Fusion was a pretty big hit, and to make it more popular, they also had it in HH configuration. This guitar has a basswood body with a maple bolt-on neck and rosewood fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, offset dot inlays, a licensed floyd rose, two humbucker configuration, one volume, one tone and a three way switch.

    UTILIZATION

This one had some wear going on. The frets were a bit pitted from it being played quite a bit, and it needed a fret level. The edges were sharp and could have been rounded a bit more to make it feel better when you're moving your hand up and down the neck. The neck joint was nice and tight, though. The licensed floyd rose on this should be replaced with something of higher quality. With the wear on this guitar, you could really see the heavy wear on the knife edges and broken saddle blocks. A higher quality floyd that's taken care of shouldn't have these issues.

    SOUNDS

The bridge is dull and muffled. It doesn't have that defined sound that higher quality pickups have. The neck tone was pretty dull sounding, too. It lacked the 3D quality that I generally like from other pickups out there. It did leads alright, but cleans were pretty bad. Basically, the stock pickups on these aren't that good. If you're going to keep this guitar, I recommend replacing them with something better like Seymour Duncans or DiMarzios. Either should be fine.

    OVERALL OPINION

When dealing with these guitars, pay attention to the minor details such as the neck joint and fretwork. Those are the most important parts to look out for. Aside from that, they're fairly solid guitars for the price they go for on the used market. I recommend a pickup swap if you're going to keep it.
