Ah c'est mimi tous ces vieux papy musik qui se retrouve
moi j'aime bien aussi ton home pulse cela me rappelle mes étalage de matos dans ma chambre bon maintenant j'essaye de concentré le tous pour que cela soit plus pratique pour travailler (on a plus vingt ans un )
enfin je vois qu'il y'en des beaucoup plus doué que moi pour faire des beau meuble tous bien comme il faut (zthibaut,alexandre etc ...)

Greetings!
First of all, I don't speak French - so I hope you can translate this
Someone emailed me and mentioned that my studio was being discussed on the forum. I was using a French to English translator to read what people were wanting to know, and will answer what I can for you.
And to stop any confusion, Yes this is a 5.1 Surround System.
-The Left / Center / Right are Genelec 1032A's (10" Woofer) The Center Channel is flipped upsidedown so the Tweeters of all 3 Front speakers are aligned (to maintain proper imaging)
-Subwooferis a Genelec 1094A if you look closely at the picture, you can see it behind the front desk to the left (behind the Family Guy figures) it is a *Big* Speaker
-The Surround Left / Right are 2 x Genelec 1030APM's These were at the same position as the Tripod so the camara could not capture it
-Monitoring is controlled using an SPL Surround Controller.
Also, the photograph is not doctored. It was taken on a tripod - with a 5 second overexposure so it would look cooler and pickup all the coloured lighting in my room
The LCD/TV in the middle behind the Mackie Controls is for Video Playback when scoring to picture... and of course... watching movies!

I also need to mention for anyone who noticed, the left speaker is farther away to the center speaker than the right.
I had to rewire some cables behind the desk and had to move it outof the way. When I took these pics I had forgotten to move it back all the way!

I do record analog tracks in the same room occasionaly - usually percussion or an acoustic guitar - but anything needing serious detail I will do somewhere else.

Thanks regarding my studio. It has taken a long time to build up and I never would have imagined having all this stuff even 3 years ago.
My first studio was a Korg O1W/fd and a PC running Cakewalk Pro Audio 3 in 1995!

Hehe I understand...
I bought a Behringer C1 and a Mindprint Envoice 3 years ago and it was already a lot for me... I didn't imagine that I would have spend $3000 in a AKG 414 and an UA6176 few years later !
Ok Neil... and now to be really honest, do you earn enough money with your production to live with? Actualy that's already hard with bands so I can't hardly imagine with animes soundtracks or stuff like that...

The answer is yes - but it is 'up and down' just like anything else! Sometimes I'll be stupidly busy, and sometimes I'll have no work. The idea is to keep busy doing anything related to music. Be it Writing, Editing, Teaching, Building Music Computers etc etc.. there's always a way to find or even generate work during a dry spell!

Hors sujet : Push-pull> marchent toujours tes liens ms20 je n'ai pas de son alors que le lecteur se met en route? je suis trés intéressé d'écouter; depuis peu y a le rack dans ma chambre et suis amoureux depuis longtemps de ce synthé... cherche activement d'ailleurs des presets ;)
