L'avis de Lazzarus

Hohner Clavinet C

L'avis de theaudioandvideoguy (contenu en anglais)"very good sound"

Hohner Clavinet C
The Hohner Clavinet C is a electric keyboard. The keyboard itself has a nice weight and feel too it. Not too heavy. The design is very vintage and can come in the version pictured above or they also make a version that looks like the whole thing is wood. There have been several models of this produced over time like the D6 and the E7. When you push down a key there is a mechanism on the inside that hammers down on the string. Basically similar to like an upright piano. Its sort of like a guitar string with a hammer coming down on it, and that’s where you get your sound from. it’s a very nice sound that you can get from it. Its authentic and not like most o the other electric keyboards that have been produced of the last 25 years or so. You will love the sound you will get out of the Hohner Clavinet. The Honer Clavinet C seems like it was designed for used at home and not to be moved too many times. Even though its really not that heavy because I have picked it up several times and was surprised by the weight of it.

Overtime, you will probably need to have the hammer tips replaced. You can actually still purchase these online even though this keyboard is pretty old. Many people also restore the Clavinets now adays so that people can have them “brand new” again. Because it would be very hard to find one of these in great shape. Unless someone already worked on it and restored it and if you do find one that is in good shape already it will cost you a lot of money because you will probably have to get it from a collector. But overall, if you do get your hands on the Hohner Clavinet C you will love it. It is one of the best Clavinets produced and Hohner has been doing it for a long time.

L'avis de moosers (contenu en anglais)

Hohner Clavinet C
The Hohner Clavinet C is a four and a half octave electric keyboard that only has the sound of the clavinet. It has ¼ inch connections for speaker output as well as for pedals and is overall a really basic instrument. It only has a few buttons to control your tone and sustain and nothing beyond this, so what you hear is basically what you get – and this is not a bad thing. The sound of the Hohner Clavinet C is impressive as it has a tight and compact tone it and is great for applications of all types. I must admit that I’m a huge fan of the sound of a clavinet and try to use it whenever a situation will allow me to in the studio. I’ve recorded with this keyboard a few times, both going direct and recording an amp with this keyboard being run to it and I’ve always been happy with the results that I am able to get. I’ve used it for a variety of different genres including rock, pop, and funk and have come to the conclusion that it has a sound suitable for any type of genre that you would want to try it with. The feel of the keyboard isn’t anything to write home about but it does have a nice feel and is an easy keyboard to play. It has also a very nice white finish and overall sparkling look. I’ve come to trust the instruments made by Hohner and I’m really a big fan of their clavinet line of keyboards. While I prefer the Hohner D6 Clavinet, the Clavinet C is another fine choice that will get the job done. The price of this keyboard is also a bit cheaper than the D6 making it an option for more players in other price ranges, but still isn’t that cheap of an instrument. All in all, if you are looking for a reliable sounding and playing clavinet, the Hohner Clavinet C is indeed worth a try.
