J'espere pour vous n'aurez pas de souci avec cette kiffante carte.

Les deux firewire ont cramés et j'avai 4 boutons cassés apres que mon ecran d'ordi est pris la console pour une piscine et est plongé droit dessus .. lol

Je l'ai envoyer en sav a la mi-aout. Resultat :

- 3 semaine pour avoir le devis de tascam qui une fois accepté a dut commander les piecees necessaire.

- Du coup, il me dit qu'il y a 6 semaines d'attente pour recevoir les pieces

-j'en deduit que le temps qu'il fasse la reparation, c pas gagné.. moins lol

nous somme le 15 octobre : tjrs pas de console..

enfin si , un : Prenez bien gardes a ne pas allmé et a chaud et prenez y plus que grand soin..

C-à-d? Prendre garade à ne pas allumer l'ordi quand la carte est sous tension, ou bien l'inverse?

seulement les premières séries sont touché par le prb du firewire.

Ca a été corrigé depuis.

J'ai les schémas et les modifs qui ont été faites.

Si tu es courageux tu peux la réparer toi même en commandant les pièces chez Mélison.

Je viens de finir de réparer un préamp cette semaine.

Bonjour,

je viens de jeter un oeil a vos post, et il se trouve que j'ai la première série de cette fameuse Tascam. Je n'ai pour l'instant aucun soucis, mais pour les schémas de modification dont parle Loicm, je serais preneur, si tu as la gentillesse de me les envoyer. On sait jamais, si ça se produisait, je saurais quoi faire ... :)

D'ailleur , c vrai que c une premiere serie la mienne pour la precision. je serai aussi interessé par les schema au passage :8)

Symptom: Noise/Distortion/No Signal on MIC Input(s).
Cause: When plugging a particular condenser microphone with Phantom Power=ON, excessive
minus potential is momentarily applied to input terminals of op-amp. This may damage
Op-Amp (P/No. 3S004860, NJM4580L) on MIC FW PCB Assy.
Solution: Adding diode (typical 1SS133) to input terminals on Op-Amp.

This change has been made on the products with S/No. 0120001 and higher. For the moment, diodes
are mounted on resistors as shown below until MIC FW PCB is changed to have patterns for diodes.

Big up a Melison (Noisy 94) qui m'a reparer la mienne avec les memes problems rapide et pas cher. Effectivement les premieres series supportent mal les branchements a chaud alors que c'est du Firewire; faut d'abord tout brancher puis allumer l'ordi et enfin la FW. Pour eteindre c l'inverse : FW puis PC

Pour le FW c'est un autre prb ...

Voila la liste des prbs de la tascam :

Symptom: Occasionally the unit does not boot. At this time, only STOP LED lights.
Cause: +5 V has been supplied to U16 (PLL, Main FW PCB Assy) from two different sources. If
there is a time difference between them upon booting, U16-14 will not generate the internal
clock causing no boot.
Solution: Supply +5 V from an identical source (U49-3).

This change has been made on the products with S/No. 0080551 and higher.




There have been some reports arisen from the market that the FW-1884 does not communicate with
the host computer. FireWire LED on the FW-1884 does not light.

Cause of problem seems to be on the host computer that may cause surges when “hot-plugging”. In
this case, FireWire IC on the FW-1884 (U9 on the Main FW PCB Assy) is ruined. In the worst case,
FireWire I/O section on the host computer is also damaged.

To reduce the risk of above possibilities, following change has been applied on the products with
S/No. 0080001 and higher.
1. Eliminating bus-power that affords safety “hot-plugging”.
2. Adding an insertion sheet suggesting:
● How to place the FW-1884 in FireWire chain.
● Double-checking for a safer operation ― “make all connections with power OFF”.

To eliminate the bus-power, following components on the Main FW PCB Assy have been removed.

With lower AC mains voltage (approx. -5 % or less), unit may not boot or take long time to boot.

Notice: Cause of above symptom is a batch tolerance of the zener diode that there may be a zener
diode which outputs lower zener voltage than expected. Therefore, incidence of this
symptom is very low.

To have a margin against such adverse condition, D5 (16 V zener diode on Power FW PCB Assy)
has been changed to 18 V type on the products with S/No. 0080001 and higher.

For cost reduction purpose, motor fader has been changed from Matsushita to ALPS on the
following products:
● FW-1884 S/No. 0150001 and higher
● FE-8 S/No. Unknown as of 02/Dec/2004


To maintain safer FireWire communication even under lower temperature environment,
the material of smoothing capacitor for the 400 Mbps Phy signal lines has been changed
from Electrolysis to Ceramic.

The circuit number of the 1 uF/50 V capacitor on the Main PCB Assy and the applicable
serial number of the change by the models are as follows:

FW-1082: C112/113 from S/No. 0230001 and higher
FW-1804: C112/113 from S/No. 0160001 and higher
FW-1884: C57/58 from S/No. 0280001 and higher
HD-P2: C102 from S/No. 0120001 and higher


Voila les prbs connu de la tascam ... Ca se répare facilement en général.
