Hi, first of all sorry for writing in english, but since im spanish, i cant write french. This is the only forum ive found about fw1612. None in english.

So maybe you can help with my problem. My card works well but it randomly stop working, and in windows (xp or vista) it apears disconected. The solution is power off and then power on again (or plugout and then plugin the fw cable).

Dont know if english is allowed here. Sorry if its not.

Hi !

If english is our only common language... let's speak english !

Most of the solutions are already explained on Hercules official website.
Here you will find some FAQs about firewire and Windows patches issues.

Another known problem comes from the power supply which gets too hot and stops to give the needed power.
When this occurs, the sound card does not stop switching off and on...
Could you try to test another 15V DC 1A power supply ?
