Sujet Trump Président, ça vous fait quoi?

Yesterday I had lunch with a group of my dearest friends who came together for my birthday.

Some of them voted for Hillary. Some of them voted for Trump.

It was good to feel the love for all of them and to connect on the basis of who we truly are.

I can also see that there's a fundamental misunderstanding between the Trump supporters and the Hillary supporters at large -not necessarily between my friends.

The Hillary supporters are missing the point that many Trump supporters were driven by the desire to get out old-school politicians out and perhaps pave the way for a non-bought government. Trump supporters are not all haters or racist. They are mostly sick of puppet politicians bought by big oil, pharmaceutical, banking and agricultural money. I'm sick of them too.

The Trump supporters are missing the point that the grief-stricken Hillary camp feels like they just watched the school bully (who mocked your disabled friend, boasted about grabbing p*ssy, rated all of the girls by number, and threatened the Mexican kids) be elected class president. Hillary supporters are not just being sore losers. Many of them ARE the girl who was grabbed, the disabled kid who was mocked and the Mexican kid who's been called a rapist and drug dealer. I'm one of them.

Let's seek to understand each other's positions. Let's have compassion for each other. Let's give each other a hug and trust that by working together we can find better solutions because we understand where everyone is coming from.
