Publié le 18/07/22 à 16:00J'avais acheté ce micro vers la fin des années 90, je voulais un micro statique pour enregistrer mes voix et ma guitare acoustique, mais mon multipiste ne possédait pas d'alim 48V.
Mon budget de l'époque ne me permettant pas d'investir dans un préamp en plus du micro, j'ai donc jeté mon dévolu sur ce Shure après la lecture d'un article dans un magazine spécialisé.
En effet, il peut peut être alimenté par une pile si l'on ne peut pas le connecter à une alim Phantom.

La fabrication est de bonne facture, l'ajout d'une suspension toutefois est conseillé pour éviter de capter les vibrations, avec juste la pince fournie c'est pas terrible.Lire moins10

10 ans d'utilisation.
Test réalisé en intérieur :
Micro à 8 m de la personne qui parle, on entend parfaitement ce qui est dit à condition que la personne en question pousse un peu sa voie.
Très bon rapport qualité prix.
N'est malheureusement pas livré d'origine avec une bonette anti vent.
Micro relativement sensible, il faut penser à couper la voie quand il n'est pas utilisé car il reprend tout son à sa portée.51

Je l'utilise depuis 5 ans avec une alimentation fantôme +48V de table de mixage. Je ne l'ai jamais utiliser avec une pile 1,5V.
Il me plais bien pour la reprise de chœurs.
J'ai utiliser d'autres modèles de la marque AKG mais je ne connais plus la réf.
Très bon rapport qualité/prix pour un micro de cette qualité et qui vaut aux alentours des 120€.12

It doesn’t have to be used in live situations but if you want to get the best out of it you should use it as a stage mic. Shure has several mics that are similar to this one in many aspects and im not sure why they have made so many mics that are so similar. The normal price for this mic is 160.00 which is not bad for a great stage and live mic. You may find it used somewhere but you wont see much of a price drop if you do. 160 dollars is worth the price paid for this mic because it puts out a great quality and it is very durable and it’s a Shure mic. Shure makes great quality products not just mics and if you every have something go wrong you can always call them and they will work out a solution with you.
OVERALL OPINION
The mic should be used in live situations on acoustic instruments. The cardioid polar pattern picks up all of the sound that it will out put from directly in front of the mic making it difficult to record unwanted sounds coming from other instruments or external things that may be going on. Jut think about if you where onstage and the mic was picking up stuff from the sides and other members on stage. The overeall output would be horrible. That is why this mic is design to pick up sound directly in front of it.
Great mic at a great price, but like I said Shure has made so many different versions of this mic im not sure why they have done that but they did. So you would probably need to try a few out before you found the one you wanted.

Unlike most condenser microphones, it is designed for use on the stage and will excel in this situation over the studio. It has a cardioid polar pattern pick up and a standard XLR output. It is designed mostly for use in the live setting, as it has a battery to power it that it comes with if you don't have phantom power at a show. Its sturdy design and on/off switch also make it a great candidate to use on the stage.
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using the Shure PG 81 both on the stage and in the studio for the last two or three years. I have found that it is best suited for picking up acoustic instruments during a live show. I have also used it in the studio a few times, but find that it doesn't pick up as much detail as I would like for a studio mic. For this reason, I would really only recommend the PG 81 for those looking for a condenser microphone to use for live sets. It is a great option for acoustic guitars that aren't acoustic-electric and don't have pick ups, and also excels on other acoustic stringed instruments like banjo and mandolin. As far as condenser microphones go, this is about as cheap as they will get, and while I wouldn't normally recommend using condenser mics for live use, this is designed for playing out and does a great job in this situation. I haven't used too many other condenser mics for live shows, so I'm not sure what I could compare it to. Its heavy build and good sound quality make it a great option to bring out to shows for picking up acoustic instruments.10

Idéal pour la prise de son de groupe ou d'ambiance. Nécessite la présence d'une alimentation phantom au niveau de la table.
Distance de prise de son 1-2 m (après cela devient difficile d'avoir un bon son)

Bon micro avec des performances satisfaisantes. La sensibilité du micro est très correcte et il n'est pas nécessaire de trop pousser l'amplification au niveau de la table pour obtenir un son correct.
