Improvement List
The following items describe the functional improvements and bug fixes included in this
release
CompactFlash:
[Improvement of function]
The operating system has been improved to recognize the following CompactFlash media
at start-up:
SanDisk SDCFB 1.0GB
SanDisk SDCFB 2.0GB
SanDisk SDCFH 512MB (Ultra 2)
Correction of Data:
[Pattern Data Correction]
The data in the following preset patterns have been corrected to reflect the following
conditions:
011: Number of notes
046: Tempo Sync
047: Tempo Sync
Version 1.0.3 (B15)
Availability - May 2004
Common Mode:
[Improvement of function]
Certain characters or elements of some parameters and/or their values were not able to
seen properly in the display. This has been improved.
[Bug fix]
When using the "Copy Valve Force" function in the
Program/Combination/Sequencer/Sampling/ or Song Play modes, certain Valve Force
parameters were not updated correctly. This has been fixed.
[Bug fix]
When using the "Copy Insert Effect" function in the
Program/Combination/Sequencer/Sampling/ or Song Play modes, certain Valve Force
parameters were not copied correctly. This has been fixed.

TRITON EXTREME
Updating the Operating System from a PC Computer
Things you will need:
1) Compact Flash Media
The CompactFlash must be at least 8MB.
2) A CompactFlash Reader/Writer attached to your computer.
OR
A USB Cable to connect the TRITON Extreme to your computer. In this case, you
will still copy the files to the CompactFlash media using the “USB Storage Mode” of
the TRITON Extreme Media Mode.
First things First:
Format the CompactFlash media in your TRITON Extreme.
Copy the files:
In the download that included these instructions, you will also find a folder named
“tnev105”. Open this folder and you will find the six OS files:
KORG TRITON Extreme Update Instructions Version 1.05
Copy the six files contained in this folder – but not the folder itself – to your
formatted CompactFlash. Again, these files must be in what is called the Root
Directory. They cannot be in a folder, or the TRITON Extreme will not be able to find
the files. Once the files have been copied, left-click the
Icon located at the right
side of the task bar, and then left-click “Stop USB Mass Storage Device – Drive(X
”.
When the following display appears, click “OK” on your PC.
Updating the Operating System:
Begin with the TRITON Extreme Off. Never insert or remove CompactFlash media
while the TRITON Extreme is On.
Insert the CompactFlash media into the TRITON Extreme. While holding down the
[ENTER] and [LOCATE] keys, turn the power On.
The system data is automatically loaded into the TRITON Extreme, and the
following messages will appear in the display:
Now loading…
Now erasing ROM
Checking system’s check sum
Once completed, the system automatically restarts and the opening screen appears
in the LCD. Please check that “Version 1.0.5” appears in the display during start-up.
NOTE 1:
If any error message appears in the LCD, turn the power off,
and then re-start the procedure.
Enjoy your updated TRITON Extreme!
