    Trash!

    Line 6 Spider Valve MkII 112Publié le 03/06/11 à 01:03
contenu en anglais (contenu en anglais)
This thing I know has tubes in it but I would be fooled into thinking that it sounds like a processed digital piece of garbage. The other Bogner and line 6 combination actually sounds decent but this amp series sounds terrible. I can't emphasis this enough by saying do not buy this hunk of garbage. I am a huge Bogner fan and I do like Line 6 products but this sounds so processed that is isn't even funny.

    SOUNDS

You would be much better spending your money elsewhere because this thing doesn't sound at all like a tube amp. There isn't any way you can derive a solid sound out of this amp because the tubes seem to hide from you and won't come out no matter how much time you spend trying to dial this thing in.

I have to say Line 6 is good at making their modeling easy to dial in but the tone from their distortion and effects combination is just awful. Any guitar will work for you getting this thing to sound like trash so don't be afraid to play a first act guitar instead f something like an American made Fender Stratocaster.

    OVERALL OPINION

This amp is a huge do not buy. If you want something in this price range than buy a used Peavey 5150 or a Marshal JCM2000 DSL and you'll be much happier with the tone of the amp. You'll need to get a cab but they are easy to come by too.

I woulnd't recommend this amp to anyone seriously trying to play the guitar. There isn't an engineer that will record you and not a stage hand that will mic up this hunk of garbage.
