The Yamaha FC4 is a sustain foot pedal that comes with a 6’ cable. It will be perfect for your Yamaha or Roland keyboards. It is very affordable and cost less then 30 dollars. The pedal works well , the pedal is very responsive and it will give you good control. Most keyboards don’t come with pedals anymore because most of everything has went digital so there was no need for a pedal. But some of us still play a keyboard the way it was normally intended to be used. So if you need a pedal then the FC4 is the perfect one, unless you have a lot more money to invest in a different one.
The FC4 will work with any keyboard that you have that has a pedal input ¼ slot. I have used it on 4 different keyboards and I don’t thing that I have seen a keyboard that didn’t have the ¼ input for a footswitch or pedal. One problem that I have had with pedals in the past is that on a hard smooth surface they tend to slide and move. The FC4 really does not move to much. It tends to stay in the same place on the floor where you put it at.
The FC4 does have some what of a noise to it when you first use it though. It is almost like it needs to be broken in. there is like a high pitched mouse like noise when you press the pedal down with your foot the first few times you use it. But then it goes away so its not that big of an issue. I have been using the FC4 as a main keyboard pedal for 2 of my keyboards since 2009 and I have not had a problem with it, and it still works great like it did the day that I un boxed it from Guitar Center.
