(contenu en anglais)The Snapper CTM is another version of the Snapper. However, this one has a quilted maple top instead of the regular pure alder body. It helps shift the high end and give the guitar some more detail in all frequencies. The guitar features an alder body with a maple top, a maple neck with a maple fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, dot inlays with a name on the 12th fret, a vintage style tremolo, HSS configuration, one volume, one tone, a coil split switch and a three way switch.
UTILIZATION
The first thing you notice is that this guitar absolutely pops. The quilted maple top on this just looks amazing, and it's finished perfectly. The frets on this were completely level. I didn't experience any issues with fretting out, even with super low action. The nut was also properly cut, so no issues there. The bridge on this is a vintage style tremolo, but they also have floyd versions for those of you who prefer the floyd rose models. It was really almost perfect in every way, although I actually prefer the floyd model.
SOUNDS
The guitar came with ESP Custom Lab pickups. These pickups are very high quality pickups, and they sound great. The bridge itself is like an organic JB clone. It had the clarity and sparkle the JB has, but it wasn't nearly as harsh as the JB tends to get. The middle and neck pickups were similar to the old school hot Seymour Duncan singles that I have in some of my other guitars. They get an awesome quack in the in-between positions, and the neck just screams when it's alone. The coil tap switch on this also adds some extra versatility to help make this one crazy guitar.
OVERALL OPINION
I prefer the CTM model to the normal Snapper, but they're both great. I'm just a sucker for those fancy tops, and I also like the top end that maple tends to bring to the table. UTILISATION
Le manche (vernis) est tres agréable et l'accès au aigus se fait sans difficultés
la forme etant une strat l'ergonomie ne se discute pas vraiment.
bon, c'est du custom shop ESP JAPAN quand meme alors si on obtient pas direct un putain de son on peu crier au scandale.on a LE son strat
SONORITÉS
Pour être passé d'une ESP forest GT(H-H) à une ESP snapper(H-S-S) et jouant beaucoups de shred et de gros son ,la snapper se debrouille pas mal meme si on sent que le micro double ne vaut pas un bon SH4 pour les Palm mute,rien a dire sur les 2 micros simples par rapport aux sweep,tâpping, etc....
je m'en suis servi successivement avec un = Diezel Herbert(quand jetais a kyoto),H&K Tubes 50,Orange Tiny Terror, Danelectro Honeytone (lol)
grace à la config HSS on parvient a obtenir un large panel de sons,
position 1 le micro manche, un son tres criard,on se demande où sont les basses
position 2 manche + milieu ,moins de sortie mais un peu plus de basses
position 3 milieu un son tres agreable , un peu comme une wah en milieu de course
position 4 milieu + chevalet, c'est le chevalet mais avec moin de sortie (pas de BZZZ)
position 5 chevalet, une sortie de copie ESP du SH4 mais + aigus (ça se sent avec les palm mutes )
bah perso jaime bien le son de la position 5 (mais ça vaut pas le sh4 de ma forest gt rahhh)
et la position 2 est parfaite pour le sweep,la position une a trop de sortie pour moi)

jai dût choisir entre une forest gt et celle ci,c'est sur que la snapper etait + polyvalente là !
- Comment jugez vous le rapport qualité/prix?
si on se tiens au prix de Jerichomusic= mouai ,je l'ai eu pour moins que ça au custom shop de kyoto. par contre oué c'est du custom apres faut pas se plaindre.
- Avec l'expérience, referiez vous ce choix?...
