22-fret mahogany set neck
Mahogany body
Two Epiphone humbuckers
Three-way toggle switch
Two tone and two volume controls (one of each per pickup)

You can adjust the bridge with a screwdriver in order to lower the strings and get a better playability (but don't lower them too much to avoid fret noise!).

UTILIZATION

Very pleasant neck. A bit more difficult to play than a Gibson neck. However this neck is the best one among the dozen guitars I've tried (Schecter, Squier, Ibanez...). Rather easy access to the upper frets. The guitar is quite unbalanced: the headstock is too heavy when played with a strap (mahogany is a heavy wood). It's easy to get a good sound. I use the neck pickup at full volume for distorted sounds. The bridge pickup sounds well clean.

SOUNDS

This guitar is conceived for all rock music styles. Personally, I use it to play metal and hard rock (Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Van Halen). You can also get a good crunch sound out of it. It's fun to use the distortion sound with a Peavey Vypyr to get accurate riffs and fat licks. You can easily get nice harmonics. On the other hand, it's difficult to get a crystal-clear Strat sound, unless you use an X Boost stomp (like on the Vypyr).

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it for almost two years. It's a really good guitar. The perfect instrument for beginners. I tried out lots of guitars before. Since I had no experience, I chose this guitar because I felt comfortable with it. I plan to sell it and buy a Cort G270. Very good value for money. The guitar is very affordable considering the quality. Based on my experience, I would certainly buy it again due to the playing comfort but not for the sound: I play now less metal and more blues/jazz. This guitar is a really good choice!
