Ingrédients

12 belles tomates
5 oignons
5 gousses d'ail
Une bonne poignée de feuilles de basilic frais
1 petit verre de bouillon de poule
1 bonne cuillère à café de sucre en poudre
Huile d'olive
Sel et poivre

Préparation

Mise en place des éléments de la sauce :
Emincez finement les oignons épluchés.
Hachez les gousses d'ail épluchées.
Mondez (épluchez) les tomates après les avoir plongées 40 secondes dans de l'eau bouillante.
Concassez grossièrement ces dernières, en essayant de garder le jus et les pépins.
Ciselez le basilic et réservez le filmé au frais.
Mettez le bouillon de poule (qu'il soit "vrai" ou en cubes) à chauffer.

Réalisation de la sauce :
Mettez les oignons émincés à fondre dans une casserole avec une bonne quantité d'huile d'olive.
Une fois ces derniers fondus, incorporez leur une bonne cuillère à café de sucre.
"Caramélisez" quelques minutes les oignons en mélangeant bien.
Incorporer aux oignons les tomates concassées et le verre de bouillon de poule.
Cuisez la sauce 40 minutes à couvert et à petit feu.
Ce temps écoulé, incorporez l'ail haché.
Laissez encore la sauce sur le feu 5-10 minutes à découvert.
Incorporez le basilic ciselé, rectifiez l'assaisonnement et servez avec une bonne assiette de pâtes!

Objective: Students will define vocabulary relating to meteoroids and orbital debris.



Introduce Vocabulary (See Appendix A for definitions; transparencies follow Appendix A to help illustrate terms)

* Difference between meteor/meteorite/meteoroid (Mention origin of meteoroids: ejecta from asteroids and comets. The Leonid meteor shower in November is a good example of what occurs when the earth passes through the path of a comet's debris. NASA is greatly concerned about the danger this debris poses to orbiting satellites. The Leonids' could even cause delays in scheduled mission launches.)
* Micrometeoroids (These are the main source of erosion on the moon.)
* Vesta meteorites
* Mini-Comets
* Fireball
* Stream
* Shower
* Crater (draw and label)
* Rays
* Orbital debris environment (ODE) Include discussion of the difference between the particles. Cometary particles are very light and ash-like. Asteroidal particles are very dense and rock-like. Vehicle particles include paint chips, bits of metallic debris left over from explosions, etc.
