Ce plectre est fait à la main.
La prise en main de ce plectre est très rapide et se fait très naturellement. Le matériau confère au plectre sa légèreté et le rend donc très maniable sans la moindre sensation de devoir fournir d'efforts pour arriver tout de suite à un bon résultat.
Le profile est incurvé, ce qui permet un jeu très précis, très rapide et sans accrocs.
Le matériau est rigide et durable. Bien que les plectres fabriqués dans ce matériau sont tous confectionnés avec une surface lisse, le plectre tient étonnamment bien entre les doigts. Il est vrai que ce matériau a tendance à marquer facilement lorsque les cordes s'oxydent, mais cela n'est pas vraiment gênant puisque les marques s'enlèvent très facilement en frottant simplement avec les doigts. De plus, bien que cela ne change pas le son, ce plectre brille dans la nuit et sa luminosité tient très longtemps, ce qui donne un effet visuel assez cool lorsque l'on joue avec peu de lumières ; et si vous le perdez dans l'obscurité, vous le retrouverez tout de suite, ha ha ha !
La sonorité de ce plectre est claire et incisive, que ce soit avec le micro manche ou le micro chevalet. Les riffs rapides ressortent donc de manière très définie.
Jouer avec un plectre épais aide aussi à appliquer moins de force à l’attaque qu’avec un plectre plus fin tout en conservant à la fois la précision du jeu, la clarté et la dynamique du son, et cela soulage énormément la main qui tient le plectre. L’effet bénéfique de ce soulagement se ressent tout de suite et c’est la raison pour laquelle je pense que les plectres de Patrick Hufschmid mériteraient d’être connus des services médicaux comme une aide aux personnes dont les soucis de santé impactent le confort et la maîtrise de leur jeu.
En ce qui concerne le prix, bien qu’il y ait un certain investissement financier de base, au regard de la qualité et de la durabilité du matériau utilisé, du temps passé à confectionner un plectre de manière aussi passionnée par Patrick Hufschmid, je considère que son prix est plus que correct. De plus, n’oublions pas que ce plectre durera toute votre vie.

This plectrum is handmade.
The handling of this plectrum is very quick and feels very natural. The material gives the plectrum its lightness and therefore makes it very easy to handle without the slightest feeling of having to exert efforts to immediately achive a good result.
The profile is curved, which allows a very precise, very fast and smooth play.
The material is rigid and durable. Although plectrums made from this material are all made with a smooth surface, the plectrum holds surprisingly well between the fingers. It is true that this material tends to mark easily when the strings oxidize, but this is not really a problem since the marks are removed very easily by rubbing with your fingers. In addition, although it does not change the sound, this plectrum glows in the night and its brightness lasts a very long time, which gives a pretty cool visual effect when playing with little light ; and if you lose it in the dark, you'll find it right away, ha ha ha !
The sound of this plectrum is clear and incisive, whether with the neck pickup or the bridge pickup. The fast riffs therefore come out in a very defined way.
