I like the fact that it's easy to use....It will write all lead ins, etc for you in automatic mode...The transport is fast and the sound is reliable...
Just recently mine (I've had it for 11 years) decided to eat a DAT tape and hasn't given it back yet...???...That's the only problem I've ever had with it...
DAT machines are not really that popular now but if you are looking for a good brand name at a great price, look up a DA-20 mkII...YOu will like it...
The manual is very comprehensive and covers all areas in depth...
