This is a solid state amp. Mine is a black-face metal grill, so it doesn't say what the wattage is. But it is reportedly 15 watts, not 38 watts, and I think that is more accurate. There is one input. Also has an output for an 8 ohm minimum extension speaker as well as for headphones. It has two channels, including a clean channel with normal volume knob. The drive channel has drive volume and gain controls. Treble, mid, and bass knobs control both channels. The amp also has a drive select button to switch between channels. No foot-switch capability. All controls are on the front of the amp.

UTILIZATION

Being a practice amp, the configuration of the controls is very simple. I bought it used, so it didn't come with a manual. I don't believe it's necessary to have one, though. As with all my amps, my baseline setting is treble 10, mid 0 and bass 2. And with just this setting, I can get great sounds, especially on the drive channel. (See sounds section.)

SOUNDS

The drive channel definitely suits my preferences for distortion ! (See settings from previous section.) With my baseline settings, the drive channel, has this raunchy, growly, powerful distortion with a wonderful presence to it ! The clean channel is OK. It's probably the worst Fender clean I have played, but that doesn't make it bad compared to other amps' clean channels. And the clean channel takes pedals quite well, so I can live with that, especially with the awesome drive channel ! I play a beginner Ibanez electric through a couple of pedals, specifically a zoom 505 multi effects pedal. When I set the Zoom to the Fender Twin setting, this baby's clean channel sounds awfully close to a fender twin. So I love the sounds that come out of both channels: the drive by itself, and the the clean with pedals through it.

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using this amp for a couple months over a year. I needed an amp right away, so I ordered this off of ebay last year, without really trying anything else. And I am glad I made the choice, especially at only about 50 bucks. I would rather sell my Crate amp than get rid of this one, especially if it can drive an amp cabinet. I have five amps, but I don't want to let go of this one. This is specifically because of the drive channel. I haven't heard a stock distortion channel that I liked better than on this little guy. And that's including the distortion on the Marshall JCM800 ! I just wish the speaker was bigger and the wattage was more. I'd rather try to buy an 8 ohm amp cabinet to attach to the speaker output than upgrade to a bigger Frontman model to find out.

C'est un ampli état solide. Le mien est une grille métallique noire visage, alors qu'elle ne dit pas ce que la puissance est. Mais il est aurait 15 watts, et non pas 38 watts, et je pense que c'est plus précis. Il ya une entrée. A aussi une sortie pour un haut-parleur 8 ohms extension minimale ainsi que pour les écouteurs. Il dispose de deux canaux, y compris un canal clair avec bouton de volume normal. La chaîne d'entraînement a un volume d'entraînement et de commandes de gain. Treble, Mid, et les boutons de contrôle bass deux canaux. L'ampli possède également un bouton DRIVE SELECT pour basculer entre les canaux. Pas de capacité de pédale. Toutes les commandes sont sur le devant de l'ampli.

UTILISATION

Être un ampli pratique, la configuration des commandes est très simple. Je l'ai acheté d'occasion, de sorte qu'il n'est pas venu avec une boîte manuelle. Je ne crois pas qu'il est nécessaire d'avoir une, cependant. Comme avec tous mes amplis, mon réglage de base est aigu 10, mi 0 et basses 2. Et avec juste ce paramètre, je peux obtenir sonne bien, surtout sur le canal d'entraînement. (Voir la section des sons.)

SONORITÉS

La chaîne d'entraînement convient définitivement mes préférences pour la distorsion! (Voir Paramètres de la section précédente.) Avec mes paramètres de base, la chaîne d'entraînement, a cette torride, growly, distorsion puissante, avec une présence formidable de lui! Le canal clean est OK. C'est probablement la pire Fender nettoyage j'ai joué, mais cela ne rend pas mal comparé à d'autres amplis canaux »propre. Et le canal clean prend pédales assez bien, donc je peux vivre avec ça, surtout avec la chaîne d'entraînement impressionnant! Je joue un débutant Ibanez électrique à travers un couple de pédales, en particulier un zoom 505 pédales multi effets. Quand j'ai mis le zoom pour la mise Fender Twin, canal clean de ce bébé sons terriblement proche d'un Fender Twin. Donc j'aime les sons qui sortent de deux canaux: le lecteur en lui-même, et le nettoyer le avec des pédales à travers elle.

AVIS GLOBAL

J'ai été en utilisant cet ampli pour quelques mois sur un an. J'avais besoin d'un ampli tout de suite, alors j'ai commandé ce hors de l'année dernière sur eBay, sans vraiment essayer autre chose. Et je suis heureux j'ai fait le choix, surtout à seulement environ 50 dollars. Je préfère vendre mon ampli Crate que se débarrasser de celui-ci, surtout si elle peut conduire un baffle d'ampli. J'ai cinq ampères, mais je ne veux pas laisser passer de celui-ci. C'est précisément en raison de la chaîne d'entraînement. Je n'ai pas entendu un canal de distorsion des stocks que j'ai aimé mieux que sur ce petit bonhomme. Et c'est notamment la distorsion sur le Marshall JCM800! Je souhaite juste que l'orateur était plus grand et la puissance était plus. Je préfère essayer d'acheter une armoire 8 ohms Ampère à joindre à la sortie des enceintes de mise à niveau vers un modèle plus grand Frontman pour le savoir.
