SK001: CEV - Robotic Groove EP
"Originally a guitarist for ten years, Julien C, aka CEV's is a French who has found electronic music after his stint with his own progressive rock band Ageless. Julien’s production emphasizes on groovy melodic baseline etch on stompy electro grounds. This is evident as Liquidfunk opens with a minimal techno loop that progresses into a room full of bouncy melodic pleasure. A friendly and easy track to be appreciated by nature, the track looks set to be big on potential for any fiery house sets."
"Robotic Groove moved us to a more edgy ground, where tearing riffs and scorching synths loaded with caps make electro the super sounds of the century. Unlike other electro productions that dons the industry with eardrum-tearing noises, Julien’s clever use of the melodic disco-like synth contributed to the success of the track, especially with its charismatic progressive version, as it adds a definite amount of funk into it, working exceptionally well on the dance floor during peak time."
