Sujet de la discussion quelle solution pour avoir 64 in/out
bon je suis en recherche d'une carte (ou plusieurs) qui pourraient me permettre de sortir sur 64 pistes pour le mix .
Je tourne actuellement sur win 7 protools 10 et madixtrem64 couplée a une antelope orion 32.

quelqun a une idée ?

Avec une seconde orion.... cela devrait faire 64 ch.

 il y a le ferrofish a32 qui a 64 canaux madi, mixables (gérable plutot car pas de table de mix sauf erreur de ma part) avec les 32 adat+ 64 dante etc soit 256 canaux en tout. ( je ne l'ai pas essayé ceci dit).

You can split one Madi cable and connect one to the Input of the Ferrofish's Madi In. The other split will be connected from the Madi Out of the first Ferrofish to the Madi In of the second one.

In the Matrix you can route channel 1-32 to the first one and the second one will be configured for channel 33-64.

First of all, you have to pick another software than native Pro Tools (non HD).
There's artificial software limit to 32 ch of I/O for Pro Tools with native driver.. If you need to run PT at 3rd party interface with more than 32 channels (like some MADI interfaces), then it's sometimes necessary to "hide" I/O channels from 33 above to be able to launch PT at all.

If you really need 64 channels with PT, then you need to get AVID interface with DigiLink connector like PT HD Native PCIe or HDX cards and then get some converter with DigiLink.. Those can be either AVIDs own I/O boxes or for example Orion 32 HD (which is specially intended for use with PT systems).

With other DAWs it doesn't matter and if you have ASIO compatible interface with enough I/O channels, you can use all channels there.
So for instance Reaper or Cubase will be working with MADIXtreme 64 at full channel count.
In your case, you'd naturally also need to extend your setup by another Orion 32 or other MADI converter (like Ferrofish A32) for another 32 channels of analogue I/Os, if you need 64 channels in total.


voila donc en definitive je crois qu'il faut changer protools normal en hd et passer sur une orion 32hd en addition de celle que j'ai deja ....
ça va faire mal au porte feuille....

post interessant. je me demande si investir dans une config différente rien que pour tes besoins 64 piste reviendrait moins cher que mettre à jour la config protools actuelle.... enfin juste  une pensée en l'air comme ça :-)

peut-être quelque chose à base de rme  + ferrofish, je n'ai pas fait les calculs précis mais il me semble que ça pourrait être moins couteux. Par contre je ne connais pas la différence de qualité entre Orion HD et les convertisseurs ferrofish (j'ai un a16-Ultra ancienne generation, et niveau qualité c'est vraiment top, les nouveaux sont encore mieux parait-il,  mais je ne peux pas te dire si c'est mieux ou pas par rapport à autre chose dans cette gamme).

A oui l'a 16 c'est pas mal .je sais pas trop nom plus par rapport a un orion .
c'est en adat le a16 ?
