    système très soigné

    Fender Passport Deluxe PD-250Publié le 16/04/12 à 01:29
contenu en anglais (contenu en anglais)
Christian contemporary group, 3 vocals, guitar, 2ndguitar/bass/harmonica:
I guess you can call a folk-rock style.

Most of our gigs are for churches, small gathering rooms, 50-200 people.
Perfect for our gigs. Speakers clamp to mixer/power console, you have
a suitcase-sized 55 pound package, easy to carry into most of
our venues. (EON 15s and Amp/mixer for bigger gigs)

So, its ridiculously portable. Its got the chops. 250 Watts stereo,
4 mic inputs, 2 stereo line in for guitars. separate monitor mix if you want.
Fender-meets-Bose speakers, dual tweeter+midrange setup, amazingly
good sound, despite not normally being a Bose fan. Crisp, defined sound,
perfect for our vocal driven acoustic sound. (At one point we did have a drummer, tasteful enought to fit in with this system, and we still did fine)

So what's the downside? Fender doesn'g make it any more. Its been upgraded
to the 300, and reviews are so-so. But there's a few for sale used,
or someplaces, new for around $800. You may want to research.

Been using my friend's PD for 5 years, now bought my own, hence the review. They've been going for $500-600 on CL and Ebay, but I lucked out for WAY less than that. Just a heads up on a gem of system if you come across a listing.
