RD-227: traditional and authentic old-school features
There's a good chance you recognise the RD-227 from somewhere else, and that wouldn't be surprising, as it's actually based on the well-known, valuable Martin Dreadnought model from the thirties. Some distinguishing features of this classic model include the traditional bone bridge saddle, a 20-fret ebony fretboard with abalone snowflake inlays, a diamond-shaped volute heel and a tortoiseshell pickguard with authentic, rounded edges. The RD-227 also makes use of the forward X-brace system which means the guitar produces more volume with fuller basses and brighter highs.
