Lors de la mise sous tension mon Roland RD-700GX reste sur l'affichage ROLAND sur l'écran. Rien ne fonctionne:oo:

Est ce qu'il est possible de trouver un service manuel pour voir au moins la tension donnée par le circuit d'alimentation, SVP?

J'ai eu une communication avec Roland CE et je vais voir s'ils souhaitent me donner plus d'information mais pour l'instant je me pose la question sur le circuit d'alimentation, car la mise à jour du Firmware ne foncionne pas.

I have the Roland RD-700GX Piano and it doesn’t power on any more.

Cold you help me please? I would kindly to ask you for the first support based on following information.

- When RD700gx powers on there is only “ROLAND” word on the screen. Nothing else.
- In order to see the firmware version I’ve tried to Power on while holding V-LINK : there is only ROLAND word on the screen.
- AS I’ve thought that the firmware is corrupted I’ve tried to update the firmware to the new v.106 (R005-RD700GX folder on the USB root) : Power on while holding down SONG and AUDIO KEY buttons, there is UPDATE MODE on the screen but no UPDATING is go on. I’ve tried many usb keys, even the one for which I was sure that RD700gx reads but it doesn’t help as RD700gx can’t access it. The red LED of the USB key is blinking but it doesn’t read or update.

I am afraid that there is something really wrong with my Piano and would like to know if you have some other test possibilities in order to check or get AN IDEA what it could be (internal batteries, power supply, EPROM, firmware, memory, mother board etc.) I would like to recheck all possibilities as I can not transport it to the service.

Hi J....,

The only thing you can try is doing the update again. I’ve attached the update file (it’s compressed to a zip file). If this still doesn’t help, I’m afraid you are right there is a hardware problem with you RD-700GX.

It could be a tension that isn’t 100% correct (power print), a flash IC that is broken (main board), the control board has crack somewhere (control board) as you can see the problem can be caused by different things so…

Hello F....,

I’ve opened RD700gx and except the Power Print board, all of them are really perfect at the first look. The connectors too.

Please find the photo enclosed of the power print as there is one yellow part, maybe burned.

I’ve measured the voltage and there are 14, 13, 27, 5V on the out connector. I have to measure it more accurately of course.

Do have please the OUT connector voltage of the power board as I could try the last check...could be that it is the problem, hoping that other circuits have survived.

The fuse is OK.
