N'ayant pas la machinedrum, je me demandais ce que cela pouvait donner
de locker le pitch d'un sample puis de slider sur une autre valeure ...
J'imagine qu'on doit facilement faire des truc a la squarepusher
ou plutot a la venitian snare ?
Quelqu'un peut il poster une demo de ce genre d'effet ?
Pas le peine de pondre un chef d'oeuvre
Merci d'avance a celui qui si mettra ...

Si je comprends bien tu veux entendre ce que donne l'effet de slide pour passer dune valeur de pitch à une autre?

j'ai la machinedrum depuis peu et à part personnaliser les sons de base avec les parametres de synthèse ou effets...
faut dire je découvre
les rtrig je sais plus quoi avec la E12 md synth permet de faire des sacrés drill !! par contre pas moyen d'automatiser ces effets en tps réel ; dommage
pas encore essayer le slide
le manuel est quand même assez limite niveau 'astuces

Hi!
Sorry Tom, this kit was lost before I got my way around SYSEX
dumping. Anyway, I just used the EFM hihat (with tremolo and filter
enveloping), which is simply the best machine for melodic sounds on
the MD. Its tonal range is limited enough for fine tuning of melodic
sounds, unlike eg the sine signal. It is also used in the "Sarpsborg"
demo on the MD site (strings and melodies). Also, try the E12 toms
with retrig and filtering. Retrigged E12 machines do not cover the 12
tone scale, only selected notes. But I once managed to make a realy
piano-like timbre out of it.
I can put the sysex dump here if you
like.
I also use MIDI-OX for dumping. It works just excellent, and I have
even tried dumping several separate "pattern+kit" dumps, which also
worked fine. Highly recommended!
I also agree that the forum should contain much more demos and
dumpings than "which one is best - blabla or blabla"...

Thanks to you and the others who comment on my demoes. I really
appreciate it! As for the sounds, there are no "magic tricks", except
for not thinking of the MD as a DRUM ONLY machine. I spend a lot of
time on each demo, to get it all right. AND I use 95% EFM sounds.
They are the best, the most flexible, the most punchy sounds by far.
Take the "Sarpsborg" demo; The strings, the melody sounds are all EFM
hi-hats. The rest is basically EFM bass drums (and a P-I hi-hat).
The "Rhodes" sound in the last demo is also an EFM sound.
If you want to hear more of my MD tracks, there will be some sound
clips (and hopefully video clips) on machinedrum.com in not too long,
taken from the concert which my cousin and I held at the recent
Elektron Party in Gothenburg. We used two Machinedrums ONLY.
