Greetings,
I have the Antelope Discrete 4...not the new version with the Syn Core. It came with all kinds of guitar amp emulators and some compressors, and some mic AFX which I don't normally use. My question is: Do these affect the audio being recorded or do they just feed my headphones, where I hear the effect but that's all? Can the waveform be affected by them, not while recording but during the rendering? Would these effects have to be the additional PAID version to be used within my DAW (Reaper)?

I've had my '4' for awhile now and it works perfectly. I just haven't gotten around to using them.
