MIDI port not responding

Hi there,
I'm a newbie in this forum and I'd like to learn to use my soundcard.
I got a dmx6 fire, really amazing, but my only problem is that f**k of MIDI port.
I can't still send/receive any MIDI msg from/to my soundcard. The card's been configured properly, any error message in the control panel (Win 2k), last drivers (WMD 5.40 b130) and Cubase SX 2.0 is my host controller (it's not Cubase's fault, I've some others sequencer, MIDI doesn't work).
I've tried to change in PC standard mode, to turn on my master keyboard before to boot my PC, I've set DMX6 fire MIDI port everywhere, but everything seems to be against me.
What I've to do?

Pentium 4 2.4 gHz
512 Mb DDR
Asus PEP4-X
Nvidia GeForce mx 440 64 Mb

I'm quite sure, everything is wired correctly....
I both set DMX MIDI in track and default MIDI port (Cubase)...
I'm going to check MIDI cables, la dérnière chance...
I hope to wirte you back with some positive news...

Check if the red midi led of cubase flashes when you playyour midi devices.
if no you wired it bad
