Est-ce que quelquin a essayé cette pédale ? jespere qu'elle est mieu que le Metal Zone (c mon point dvue bien sur), jespere qu'elle a un son plus chaud! J'ai écoute lé samples sur le site de boss mais bon, je prefere demander !!

How easy is it to get a good sound out of it?
How about Editing patches?
How is the manual for it (if there is one)?
Do you know the firmware revision number? Has your unit been upgraded?
This pedal is almost foolproof. I say almost because one can never underestimate the ingenuity of the fool in question. There are four controls: level, low, high, and distortion that control exactly what they say they do. Stomp once with your foot to turn it on, do it again to turn it off. The manual gives some suggestions as to setting depending on what type of metal you're playing.

Can you get the sound of your favorite artists? Who are they?
Are certain effects (distortion, chorus, ...) very good? Very bad?
What setup (i.e. what guitars and amps) are you using this with?
Is it noisy? On what settings?
Are the effects weak or do they always sound great?

I honestly can't use enough superlatives for this pedal. It's like Boss finally got around to cleaning up the MT-2 Metal Zone. There's all the distortion you could ask for and, depending on how you set the Low and High controls, you can get ultra bassy crunch for down-tuned chugging, or you can get crazy squealing trebly lead tones. Now, here's what really sells it: It's QUIET!! Whereas Metal Zone, in my opinion, needs a noise suppressor linked after it just to be usable in live situations, the Metal Core doesn't give me loads of excess static-y noise. Another problem I always had with the Metal Zone is that it would continue to squeal and feed back even if I was muting the strings and covering the pickups, the Metal Core doesn't do that. I can just mute the strings and get almost complete silence. I will say that this pedal is best used with a relatively clean head. When I run it through my Crate Palomino V16, I just use my clean tone and then turn on the pedal. If I run this with a high gain amp, such as a VHT Pitbull, I end up with less control over your distortion, and a less usable distortion. I play a lot of classic metal (Helloween, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept, Loudness, Dio, Jag Panzer) and this is PERFECT. However, when I play through an Ibanez 7-string, I can get the most murderous Cannibal Corpse or Meshuggah sounds. I generally play my Ibanez Destroyer, or Gibson V when I use this pedal.

It's a Boss stompbox. It's build like brick and I have no qualms about using it without a backup.

In general, Roland (Boss's parent company) is about as easy to deal with as a gigantic corporation like that can be. However they generally prefer it if you contact them through a middleman like Guitar Center. It' certainly easier than Fender or Ibanez. In any case, I don't really hesitate to contact them if I need to.

I've been playing for about 6 years now and this is hands down best heavy metal pedal I've ever used. I've been using a Rocktron Metal Planet for a while that I still like a lot, but use it more for classic rock and Sabbath-type stuff. Two of my guitars (Ibanez Destroyer, and Blazer) have Dimarzio Super Distortions in them and the pickup pairs really well with them. My Gibson V and Ibanez PL1660 V also sound killer with it

Perso, j'ai essayé, le son est monstrueux.
Je l'ai essayé avec le meme matos (washburn idol 65 en seymour+tête transo randall G2) en même temps que la bosse MT2, ya pas photo, la MT2 est absolument naze à coté de la ML2.
La métal core à beaucoup plus de basse, de puissance , et son son est bien plus dense...
Pour jouer du Sepultura, soulfly, Machine head, ou autres trucs bourrin, c'est le pied...Cecis dis, en bidouillant les reglages, ont peut jouer des trucs plus 80', genre thrash metal ou encore Hardcore...
Enfin bon le sont est tout bonnement génialement lourd, tranchant et puissant à souhait....
Autant la MT2 est nulle, autant la ML2 est une tuerie

Moi je l'ai depuis 2 mois, et je l'a trouve vraiment top :lol:
C'est vrai qu'elle a rien a voir avec la MT2, mais bon il faut etre relatif.
A l'époque la MT2 était pas mal pour l'époque :) l'éléctronic a évolué...
Beaucoup plus de puissance en effet avec la ML2,gain énorme,tous les réglages sont sensible.
Par contre ils disent que le level LOW, est fait pour les accordages bas :8O: (j'ai pas trop compris sur ce coup là)..

Pour l'instant je joue avec mon Fender Princeton chorus en ampli(combo 120w transistor).Guitare-pédale J/H2 Visual Sound-ML2-Ampli,c'est un peu brouillon, mes jacks sont morts je pense, ou l'ampli a un coup dans la gueule :8)

Mes avec mon prochain stack, VHT 2/50 en puissance-JMP1 Marshall en préamp-cab Bogner ou Engl, je ne sais pas encore, ca va le faire
En tous cas grosse tuerie cette ML2, pour le prix en plus,rien a dire,
Si vous cherché du gros son, ne cherché plus.... :furieux:

Je ne serais pas étonné que tu n'ais pas besoin de la ML2 avec ton futur stack pour avoir le gros son :clin:

Le Marshall n'a pas un super gros son,meme en reglant, il reste tres bon en saturation, mais manque de lourdeur et de précision un peu :lol:

Maintenant je l'ai, donc je vais pas la jeter, meme si j'ai un stack en rack, ca empeche pas :bravo:

Quant au VHT c'est le 50w pas le 90w, qui lui est plus orienté métal, mais il parait qu'il marche super bien... :fache:

C'était juste une remarque, je suis un boss addict :aime: donc... mais avec du VHT tu vas te régaler, j'ai deux super potes (nebuleyes et Pm. sur AF) qui possèdent du VHT et ça sonne ya pas photo... après la pédale bien réglée, tu peux l'utiliser comme un méga booster ou pour aller chercher des sons extrêmes que le VHT ou le reste de ton stack n'auront pas... moi aussi je veux un VHT :(((

C'est clair que ca sonne :8)
Il parait que le 2/50 VHT en rack sonne gros mais reste tres ployvalent, en plus il ya un voicing, donc tu peux pousser les lampes :bravo: pour un meilleur rendu,surtout en appart...

Les tetes sont pas mal aussi, mais un peu plus typées, la CL 50 Pitbull est bsuper bien, super son clair,j'ai halluciné,la satu,énormmmmmmmmmm :fache:

Je pense q'avec le preamp VHT, ca doit sonner enorme sans la ML2, c'est clair
Mais en rack c'est quand meme autre chose :clin: si on peut ce le payer
