Bonjour,

J'ai un souci avec le transfert de MP3 du PC vers le PS5 qui ne voit pas certains fichiers.

Etape 1: En mode USB, la copie se déroule normalement et je vois apparaître le nouveau fichier à la suite des autres quand je regarde via le gestionnaire de fichiers du PC. Le fichier qui a été copié sur la carte est correct puisque je peux le lancer à partir du PC.

Etape 2: Par contre, quand je quitte l'USB pour passer en mode normal, le fichier n'apparait pas dans la liste affichée par le PS5 et il m'est donc impossible de le lancer sur le PS5.

J'ai essayer de supprimer d'autres MP3 en pensant qu'il y a avait peut-être une limite en nombre mais sans succès. Avez-vous déjà rencontré ce problème?

Quand en mode d'USB, copiez-vous le dossier MP3 à votre commande dure de computer's ? Quand le PS5 est en "copie normale", vous ne pouvez pas transférer des dossiers dans les deux sens.

When in USB mode, are you copying the MP3 file to your computer's hard drive? When the PS5 is in normal mode, you cannot transfer files back and forth.

Thanks for your quick answering. My question was not clear enough and I try to describe my problem with my bad english...

No problem to copy files from the PC to the PS5 (in SB mode, of course). When I turn off the PS5 and switch it again in normal mode, the songs don't appear in the MP3 list.

Initially, I thought the copy has failed but I was wrong: if I look inside the card (using my PC), I find all the new files and I can play anyone from the PC. So files are on the card and they are sane but the PS5 don't see them. That the reason why this message has "ghost files" as title :clin:

Two more precisions: 1/ From the beginning, I did not change my way to copy files and I had no problem in the past. So I guess it's not a copy problem but a dysplay/read problem for the PS5. 2/ I tried to optimize the card -> no change.

Je pense que je comprends maintenant. Si you're en utilisant la version 2.04 ou 2.07 dans le Pocketstudio, vous doivent manuellement choisir les dossiers mp3 qui ne sont pas créés dans le PS5. Entrez dans le playlist (du menu de CARTE) et abaissez le curseur à la liste elle-même, puis le curseur gauche ou droit jusqu'à ce que la ligne entière clignote. Tournez alors le scrollwheel (le grand argent un) jusqu'à ce que le dossier correct apparaisse dans la liste. Vous assurez vous économiser la liste. Vous devriez être bien alors. Quand vous créez un dossier mp3 dans le Pocketstudio, it's s'est automatiquement ajouté au playlist. Mais dossiers non importés.

I think I understand now. If you're using version 2.04 or 2.07 in the Pocketstudio, you have to manually select the mp3 files that are not created within the PS5. Go into the playlist (from the CARD menu) and move the cursor down to the list itself, then cursor left or right until the entire line is blinking. Then turn the scrollwheel (the big silver one) until the correct file appears in the list. Make sure you save the list. You should be okay then. When you create an mp3 file within the Pocketstudio, it's automatically added to the playlist. But not imported files.

Sorry Mike but that's not it. I am not talking about the "MP3 PGM list" but about the list wich appears in the card Menu as "MP3 load" (wich only work in MP3 mode and not in smf mode, I know that).

I tried your solution in the "MP3 PGM list" but the problem is still the same : using the silver scrollwheel, I can add some MP3 but only files that the PS5 accept to display (of course). Unfortunatly, the list is the same that in "MP3 load". It refuse to show all the new files transfered from the PC wich are well in the MP3 directory on the card. In other terms, the PS5 doesn't see files that my PC correctly see. I hope I made myself more clear :|

Désolé mais ce n'est pas ça. Je ne parle pas de la "MP3 PGM List" mais de la liste qui apparaît dans le menu de carte en tant que "Load MP3" (fonctionnant seulement en mode MP3 et pas en mode de smf, je sais cela). J'ai essayé votre solution dans la "MP3 PGM list" mais le problème est toujours identique: en utilisant le scrollwheel argenté, je puis ajouter des MP3 mais seulement parmi les dossiers que les PS5 accepte de montrer (naturellement). Malheureusement, la liste est identique à celle de "MP3 LOAD". Il refuse de me montrer tous mes nouveaux dossiers qui sont bien dans le répertoire MP3 de la carte. En d'autres termes, le PS5 ne voit pas certains fichiers que mon PC voie correctement. J'espère avoir été plus clair :|

Okay, you're putting the mp3 files in the MP3 directory. You know that the MP3 LOAD command does not work in regular mode, only when the MP3 button is green. You can't get the songs to appear either that way or by manually adding them to the playlist. The files are in the correct 8.3 filename format.

The only option left I can think of is that the files are either corrupted somehow, or in a mp3 format the PS5 can't handle (altho it can play nearly every mp3 filetype). Is there a way I can get my hands on one of these files to try it for myself? Do you have them on a website somewhere?

Hi Mike (and everybody),

Sorry to be so late but I found a solution.

I made a copy of the MP3 directory from the PS5 to my my PC and then I renamd all the files to the 8.3 format. I formated my 128Mo card and then I copied the files from the PC to the new MP3 directory of the card. And now, all my 26 files appears in the MP3 mode on PS5.

Triyng to better understand the bug, I copied another MP file from the PC to the PS5 and... it did not appear on the screen of the Tascam in MP3 mode (I can see it on the card in USB mode form my PC, so same problem...). I applied the process: deleting all the directory and copying it again from the PC and... this new file is now in the list!

So, I think there is a bug in transfer file/file from PC to PS5 and this bug doesn't exist when we transfer the entire MP3 directory.

Many thanks again for your help. If you have one more minute :clin: I posted another problem few days ago concerning transposition of tonality (see the item "Anybody using Guitar Pro?" in the same forum)

Désolé d'être si tardif mais j'ai trouvé une forme de solution. J'ai copié le répertoire MP3 du PS5 sur mon PC puis j'ai renommé tous les fichiers en respectant le format 8.3. Ensuite, j'ai reformaté la carte 128Mo puis j'ai recopié les dossiers du PC vers le nouveau répertoire MP3 de la carte. Et maintenant, en mode MP3, le PS5 me propose bien mes 26 fichiers. :)

Pour mieux comprendre, j'ai essayé d'ajouter un autre fichier de MP3 du PC vers le PS5 et... il n'est pas apparu sur l'écran du Tascam (toujours le même problème) alors que je le vois sur la carte en mode USB. J'ai refait la même manip: supprimer tout le répertoire puis le recopier du PC et... ce nouveau dossier apparaît dans la liste!

Ainsi, je pense qu'il y a un bogue dans le transfert quand on procède fichier par fichier à partir du PC vers le PS5 et que ce bogue n'existe pas quand on transfère le répertoire MP3 entier.

Encore merci de votre aide. Si vous avez encore une minute c j'ai signalé un autre problème il y a quelques jours concernant la transposition de tonalité (voyez l'article "Quelcqu'un utilise Guitar Pro?" dans le même forum).
