Excellent build quality, sound and specs!
Those who use RME know that their drivers are always up to date and working flawlessly.
With RME Babyface Pro you get a portable USB (powered) audio interface with 2 high quality preamps, 2 line inputs, ADAT/SPDIF in/out, MIDI, Stereo XLR output and 2 headphone outputs (for different impedances).
As expected it uses TotalMix FX, RME's powerful mixing and routing interface, with EQ, Reverb and Echo (DSP).
Controls work great (I love the rotary knob) and you can customize some of them to improve your workflow (ex. talkback button, All mute, etc...).
Being class compliant it can be used with iPad, provided you purchase the power supply. That is great for live recordings and for use on stage. It has a threaded adapter so you can practically mount it on a stand.
It comes in a neat plastic hard case with USB and MIDI cables.
I haven't used the previous Babyface model, but it looks like RME really improved it in very many ways with this newer model. This is a great product that I have been using regularly and highly recommend!
