I had no compatibility issues with Artillery 2. I run it on a Macbook Pro i7 core with a Fireface 800 in Ableton 8 and it purrs like a Tiger. This is yet another plugin that I have never had to reach for the manual. Everything is pretty self explanatory. I really enjoy the way you map the effects to the keyboard. You can drag out the effect so it spans any number of keys, very hands on approach. The setup and configuration is fairly simple. You obviously need to know the workings of the effects (some I had to play with in order to realize what they actually did) but most are your standard types: phaser, delay, distortion, pitch shift, etc.... but you also get a host fun "Stutter" style effects that are where the real money is with this guy.
The typical functions are all easily accessed via the GUI.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I have never had any issues in ableton other than using more than one instance of Artillery can really eat up CPU. Other than that, its solid. So far I have never had a single crash with this plugin.
I have to give it a 10 out of 10. I used it for quite some time but then got Stutter Edit by Izotope, thinking that Artillery 2 would end up collecting virtual dust. I was wrong, I have already brought it back into the mix. Nothing against Stutter Edit, its great, but Artillery offers different effects and usability so its going to stay. I have been using it for about 10 months now.

OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about this unit is you can stack a ton of effects and stutter style edits and more into one plugin. Overall that helps reduce cpu usage by not needing 20 different plugins to achieve the same thing. I notice no degradation in sound quality when using this. I do notice that the distortion isn't mind blowing, but Izotope Trash and D16 plugins are the only ones who even come close to an analog distortion pedal in my opinion. This was my first "stutter" style effect plugin. I use Stutter Edit in addition to Artillery now but I find they both have there benefits. Yes, I recommend this plugin over Stutter Edit actually. Having both though will make you really happy.

Je n'ai eu aucun problème de compatibilité avec Artillery2. Je l'exécute sur un Macbook Pro Core i7 avec une Fireface 800 dans Ableton Live 8 et il ronronne comme un tigre. Encore un plugin pour lequel je n'ai jamais eu à chercher le manuel. Tout est assez explicite. J'aime vraiment la façon dont on assigne les effets sur le clavier. Vous pouvez faire glisser l'effet de sorte qu'il couvre un nombre illimité de touches, très pratique à l'approche. L'installation et la configuration sont assez simples. Vous aurez évidemment besoin de connaître les rouages des effets (pour certains j'ai dû jouer avec afin de réaliser ce qu'ils font) mais la plupart sont standard: phaser, delay, distorsion, pitch shift, etc ... mais vous obtiendrez également une foule d'effets "Stutter" amusants qui justifient a eux seuls l'achat de ce plugin.
Les fonctions typiques sont toutes facilement accessibles via l'interface graphique.

ADÉQUATION/PERFORMANCE

Je n'ai jamais eu de problèmes dans Ableton, à part en utilisant plus d'une instance d'Artillery qui peut vraiment consommer du CPU. A part cela, c'est du solide. Jusqu'ici, je n'ai jamais eu de crash avec ce plugin.
Je dois lui donner un 10 sur 10. Je l'ai utilisé pendant un certain temps avant de me procurer Stutter Edit d'iZotope, pensant qu' Artillery2 finirait aux oubliettes. Je m'étais trompé et je l'ai déjà ramené dans mon mix. Je n'ai rien contre Stutter Edit, c'est un bon plug également, mais Artillery offre des effets et une prise en main différents qui font que je vais le garder. Je l'utilise depuis environ 10 mois.

AVIS GLOBAL

Ce que j'aime le plus dans ce plug c'est le fait de pouvoir empiler une tonne d'effets, stutters et autres dans un seul plugin. Globalement ça contribue à réduire l'utilisation du CPU vu qu'on n'a pas besoin de 20 plugs différents pour arriver au même résultat. Je n'ai remarqué aucune dégradation de la qualité sonore en l'utilisant. En revanche la distorsion n'est pas extraordinaire, mais iZotope Trash et D16 sont les seuls plugs qui s'approchent d'une pédale de distorsion analogique à mon avis. Ce fut mon premier plugin d'effet Stutter. J'utilise Stutter Edit en plus d'Artillery maintenant car je trouve qu'ils ont tous deux leurs avantages. Oui, je recommande ce plugin plutôt que Stutter Edit. Cela dit, avoir les deux à la fois devrait vous rendre vraiment heureux.
