Channel 1 of Landmark 300 is an RBI, and Channel 2 is an RPM.
Besides the Mid Shift of the RPM, the other differences are:
The Presence control of the RBI puts an "edge" on the tube emulation, making for a more "aggessive" distortion.
And, the RBI has a built-in mid-scoop, below the frequency of the Mid control. The RPM has no mid-scoop... it starts out completely "flat. You could create that same mid-scoop with the Mid and Mid Shift, but that would "tie up" the Mid control so it can't affect the same frequency as the RBI's Mid control.
If you create the mid-scoop, and imagine the RBI tone with Presence at minimum, you can get the RPM to sound like it. But that will limit you as far as the RBI's (normal) versatility.
