ca va peut etre interresser certains d'entre vous, j'ai envoyé un mail a Protector concernant le matos qu'ils utilisent. en fait, leurs premiers albums ont été enregistré en studio, ce n'est que depuis l'album STRONGHOLD qu'ils enregistrent a la maison...

voici donc sa reponse:

"Hello Richard ;-)

Yes from Stronghold on I recorded everything on my own. As we only use keyboards guitars and vocals and no real drums it was not necessary to buy a lot of equipment. Most of the jobs were done by the PC.

I have a normal PC but a very good soundcard Yamaha DSP factory and do the recording and mixing with it. But this card is very old and I thing that there are already much better ones existing in the meantime.

I use a cheap capacity micro with a cheap preamp for the vocal recordings

My synths are Korg Trinity Synthesiser for the drums and Roland JV1080 for the orchestral sounds. But as PCs are getting faster and faster and software synthesisers are getting better and better, I think soon such quality can be reached only with PC and software and without additional synths.
