Country singer and songwriter Tim Montana, Gibson Custom and the Gibson Foundation have teamed to create a special guitar to honor Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who was portrayed in the movie “American Sniper.” The guitar is currently being auctioned online as part of the third annual Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit.

The Les Paul guitar glistens with handcrafted artwork and features Kyle’s logo -- a hand-carved skull and cross-hairs – on its maple top. The top paint is hand-painted in the same camouflage colors that were on Kyle’s Navy SEAL uniform.

The guitar’s back has a hand-painted portrait of Kyle, and the bridge pickup has the quote, “It’s our duty to serve those that serve us.” The guitar also features a bullet shell from one of Kyle’s missions in the guitar’s headstock, and “Chris Kyle 2016 Memorial Benefit” is engraved in the neck pickup.
