HARDWARE :
MOTU (Midi Timepiece) MTP AV USB
FIRMWARE:
v2.0.1
ISSUE:
MOTU MTP AV Midi' SYNC port is flooded by Sysex message:
"F0 00 00 33 02 50 00 0B 0B 08 00 01 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 02 F7"
Size: "21 bytes"
Manufacturer: "S3"
ROOT CAUSE:
Sysex messages are generated by the built-in SMPTE feature and by default forwarded to MOTU Midi SYNC port.
SOLUTION:
Notre: Perform all steps below from the MTP AV USB front panel.
No need to open any MOTU application: those settings are not customizable from Clockworks app.
1) On the front panel, navigate to the "Sync" Menu using the Window knob.
2) Go to the "SMPTE Destination" Sub-menu using the Cursor knob.
3) For each cable (1 to 16 and A to #A#), make sure all cables are set to "N" (No) by pressing the "Yes/No" button.
4) This stops all Sysex messages on the MIDI Sync port.
5) Save your preset (called Base-Setup) as those settings are configurable for each "Base-Setup"
