Hi,
Pour info, Logic 5.3 et Logic 5.51 fonctionnent parfaitement sur Vista.
Ne pas oublier de paramétrer la taille maxi de votre RAM dans le fichier de boot et je vous conseille d'optimiser les paramètres pour gagner en performance audio (Thème Windows classique, suppression arrière plan etc...)
Je suis hyper déçu de Vista (J'ai fait les tests sur une Version Pro officielle), à part le graphisme et l'animation, je du mal à cerner les avantages de ce nouveau Windows...
En tout cas pour l'utiliser, il faut une machine très performante (Test sur un Core 2 Duo E6600, 2GoRam, Carte graph 128 Mo :surpris: )

Hi i'm an Italian guy who use logic 5.5.0. I've a Toshiba dual core T2400 and 2Gb Ram. I have Windows Vista installed and Logic 5.5.0 installs fine,but wont boot at all,even in compatibility mode.Says "setup memory buffers" in the bottom of the boot screen,and the error comes up..Can you help me ??? Thanks

1/ have you a cracked version of Logic 5.50 or an official with serial number ?
2/ it's possible that Vista is incompatible with your program. but nothing prevents you from having on your computer the two operating systems, Windows XP and Vista, and to choose that which functions with your Logic. I have XP Pro and Home Edition, and my Logic 5.53 works good with.
If not, it does not remain you any more which has to change mark of computer and to pass on Mac, and to take version 7 of Logic Audio

my logic 5.5 it's original and works good on my pc with Windows Xp Home. After the update on Windows Vista doesn't works. The message is "setup memory buffers" in the bottom of the boot screen and after 2-3 seconds crash...

Bonjour à tous

Je viens de passer à vista (familial premium) et logic audio ne fonctionne pas sur ma machine.

le logiciel s'installe sans problème mais quand je le lance (version 5.5 et 5.5.1), j'ai un message windows "le programme a cessé de fonctionner, windows cherche une solution". (mais ne trouve aucune solution!!)

Quelqu'un a t il eu ce problème?

en fait, tu rencontres le meme probleme que plein de personnes qui ont Vista. Ce systeme d'exploitation n'est pas compatible avec Logic Audio. Il ne te reste plus qu'à revenir sur XP et ça fonctionnera.

Logic PC is several years old now, it does not understand more than
1 Gig memory.
Modifying the system.ini may help, copy paste the text below to your
sysyem.ini file and reboot.

I have subsequently found that the most efficient way of switching
between setups is to add an extra line to the boot.ini file (I'd only
recommend this for advanced users, I don't want to risk messing up
anyone's PC!):

Under '[operating systems]' in boot.ini, I now have:
'multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition" /fastdetect' (no quotes)
This is the normal setup with 2Gig RAM.

But the next line is:
'multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP for
Logic" /fastdetect /maxmem24'

The 'maxmem' part is added automatically by msconfig. But by having
*both* lines in boot.ini, you are given a choice when you boot
between the full RAM system (for general apps) and the limited 1Gig
one (for logic).
I'll be interested to hear how this works for people -- please ask if
anything's unclear.

J'ai fais mes test sur Vista Pro
-> Installer une version full, et non pas une mise à jour
-> RAM< 1Go
-> Installer Logic en session Admnistrateur
-> Clic droit sur logic.exe, Propriétés : Executer en compatibilité Windows 2000

Idem pour moi, quand logic se lance, au moment de "setup memory buffers", pas moyen de lancer Logic...message de vista...et ce avec tous les modes de compatibilité

:oops: Mon pôvre ! Toujours le meme probleme avec Vista: incompatibilité totale avec Logic Audio ! Il ne te reste plus qu'à reinstaller XP, au moins, ça fontionne avec ! Et rassure toi, tu n'es pas le premier à qui ça arrive !

si ça marche chez certain, pourquoi pas chez d'autres...je vais reéssayer et je vous redis...
