There's three more bugs I know of that are fixed: slowing down of the arpeggiator (local clock) when you twiddle the knobs, Prophecy crashing while receiving sysex-data (hard reset necessary), and the display becoming corrupt with wrong characters now and then. Some of these bugs aren't that nasty when using the Prophecy in LIVE situations, so decide for yourself if you want it upgraded to #20 or not. Remember that the synth has the best value when it's in it's best state...

Citation : What does this mean? KORG can happily assist by providing the current version of software in the form of two new EPROM's. This EPROM upgrade-policy is free.
Bad news if you have two ROM's in your Prophecy: there is an additional charge incurred to cover the cost of purchasing the new IC's since the ROM's cannot be reprogrammed and have to get replaced alltogether. You have to send-in the complete synthesizer (keep carriage-costs in mind) but KORG does not charge for any labour costs incurred desoldering and resoldering the ICs and does not aim to make any money on this procedure. This may in fact explain why some Prophecy users have been quoted a charge by their distributors whilst others have been offered the service free of charge.
