(contenu en anglais)The Marshall AVT50H is value state guitar head. 115watts input with a 50w RMS output. At first you think that it's not a lot of power but it's enough for a live show and to record with. I used this at a club venue and it kicked out some good tones. It has just the quarter inch inputs and outputs. CD in, Headphones in, FX return, FX send, foot switch, Emulated DI out, with 2 main outputs for the cabinets. Runs at 4ohms. Weight is at 12.4kg. Dimensions: 674 x 250 x 254mm. It uses a master volume, clean, and overdrive channel with a single reverb setting. It has no built in effects like chorus, flanger, or phaser. You can use many different types of cabinets for this head and for marshalls series in general.
UTILIZATION
The setup for this is simple. Just plug in the adapter cord for power, turn it on and let it warm up, and plug in. It's a basic setup for the sound. Clean or Overdrive tune. I never look at the manuals or really even get a manual when I buy the product from a store. Sometimes the stores either lose or don't get one. When I look at a guitar amp, I like to play around with the outputs and settings to see what it can do myself.
SOUNDS
I do rock and hard rock/metal music. It's simple enough to get the right guitar and have a really good sound. I've tried this with 10 guitars and they all produced a good sound. I have an explorer right now and that rocks. I don't use any pedals or effects. I like the raw sound and playing style. The clean channel has gain, volume, bass and treble. Not to much to work with the sound. For the clean channel, to get a really good sound, you do have to depend on your guitar. The overdrive channel has gain, volume, bass, mid, treble. You can have the cleanest, most simple electric tones. I like that their isn't 7 knobs for low/mid/high. Just set it to the basic sound and level and your ready to go. You can get similar guitar sounds from bands like Three Days Grace, or Metallica. If you want that mainstream rock sound, this provides it. I don't use the reverb setting at all really. Reverb on electric guitar isn't good unless your doing 80's music. I use the straight AVT cabinet along with this head and slant Crate GX cabinet series. They put out a good tune and work good together to create a unique sound.
OVERALL OPINION
I've owned this amp for 2 years now and it still runs great. I like everything about it. It's simple to use and doesn't take forever to set the sound. The crate models are what I used to use. I was a big fan of the band Creed. The marshal heads just give a much better sound and add the tone you need. The AVT 150H, I tried out, and I thought it had to many different switches and sounds you could play with. The MG100FX head is good for the beginning guitarists in high school. This is a head for the mainstream rock musician and club and small venue artists. I bought this for $550. Not bad of a price. I love the amp. It's works good and has everything I want.00- iamqman

Publié le 08/07/11 à 21:58 (contenu en anglais)This is a cheap amp from Marshal in just about ever way. The tone is thin and fizzy at best an the overall feel of the amp is sub par. This amp doesn't have the feel of what you would think when they claim the tube feeling of the amp. The power section is still solid state and you will not get that tube punch that comes with a real all tube amp.

SOUNDS
The tone of of this amp is not very good. It really isn't any better than a Line 6 modeler amp. Yes it does a preamp tube in it but that only changes the voicing of the amp. The feel is what makes a tube amp and tub amp. That can only come from the power section. This amp is really about the same as a $100 solid state amp.
Doesn't really matter what guitar you play with this amp because it is just garbage. The tone is a Marshall tone but so sub standard to what I feel a Marshall amp to be. I suggest throwing this amp off the roof and being done with it.
OVERALL OPINION
These amps are no long in production and the used market is the only way to score one now. I would suggest not wasting your time with this hunk of junk. Get a real tube and or just save your money. This amp is sterile sounding and just plain awful. If you do find one in the classifieds just keep going until you hit Marshal JCM2000 DSL 100 or Peavey 5150. La puissance est de 50 watts, mais attention, ce n'est là qu'une indication, car en fait, cela porterai plus vers le 100 watts...avec la baffle de 200 watt....Connectique normale, un sortie jack, CD, Headphone devant, baffle (2), boucle d'effet,footswitch...

L'avantage c'est d'avoir un bouton gain et un bouton volume pour les deux canaux, ca permet une plus grande diversité de sons (en poussant le gain en clair on a un son crunch, a la limite de l'overdrive quand c'est à fond, en baissant le gain et le volume de la guitare, on obtient un son clair plus chaud que le canal clean lui-même).
On trouve rapidemant le bon son, grâce notamment au manuel qui est la pour aider un peu au début.
SONORITÉS
Impécable pour le rock, le blues, jusqu'au hard-rock même.
Les amateurs de métal et autres barbares de la disto et du pétage de tympan seront décus, l'overdrive reste très limpide, même à fond, il ne crache pas.Même si toutefois, c'est du gros gros son....-->Rectification, en coupant les médium et en mettant gain a fond, on obtient un son proche du trash, neo-metal...
Pour moi, je le trouve impécable, très polyvalent, les sonorités chaudes de la lampe sont un régal.
J'admire particulièrement le son crunch du canal clair, très modulable, très bon.Bref, je joue du rock, et j'adore!!!!!!!Et des basses à vous coupez les souffle ( en groupe g meme réussi à imité un son de basse , enfin aussi lourd, avec un bass soost en plus)

Je l'utilise depuis un mois, mais pour moi, c'est une révélation!!!
Pour celui qui en a marre des transistors, voila le type de bête pas trop onéreux qui permet tout de suite d'avoir LE son!!!!Marshall n'a jamais été aussi bon que ses dernières années, et cette édition va sans doute rester dans les mémoires!!!!Génial, je crois ke c'est le mot...Lire moins10
