Hello la foule,
Je viens d'installer l'OS 1.30 et cela semble fonctionner à merveille !
Juste une question :
Il semblerait qu'une fonction Shop Chop ait été incorporé à ce nouvel OS, mais est-ce qu'il s'agit juste de la lecture de fichier Shop Chop 2.0 ou est-ce une vrai fonction de chopping pour la MPC 500 (ce qui serait une excellente nouvelle) ...

ou as tu trouvé l'os 1.3 ? Je n'ai vu que l os 1.13, une fonction chopping sur la 500 ? Interressant en effet, si quelqun a des news se serait la bienvenue.

'unused' Sequence.

1. Download the file MPC500_v113.zip from our website to your computer
2. Your browser should automatically unzip the file and you should have a file called "mpc500.bin" on your computer (if it does not, you will need to unzip the downloaded file using Winzip [PC] (http://www.winzip.com), or Stuffit Expander [Mac] (http://www.stuffit.com)
3. Insert Compact Flash into the MPC500
4. Switch the MPC500 ON
5. Go to LOAD mode [MODE + PAD2], then scroll with the [DATA] wheel to select USB.
6. Connect a USB cable between PC and the MPC500 (display will change from "Not Connected" to "Connected")
7. Your PC/Mac will mount the CF card of the MPC500 as a drive on your computer
8. Copy (drag) OS .bin file onto the CF card's ROOT DIRECTORY (ie: DO NOT PLACE IN ANY FOLDER)
9. Once the file has been copied, safely dismount the MPC from your computer, and disconnect the USB cable

!!! NOTE: DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE MPC500 WHILE IT IS UPDATING THE OS !!!
1. Power the MPC OFF (leave the CF card in the MPC)
2. Press and hold down the [SHIFT] button on the MPC while, you power the MPC back ON (this will launch the OS Bootloader)
3. The MPC should show you a screen which reads:
New OS 1.13
OK(REC) or STOP
4. Press [REC]
5. The MPC should now start the OS update (it will first erase the Flash ROM and then write the new OS to Flash ROM)
6. Once the OS Update is complete, the MPC will automatically restart itself
7. Power OFF the MPC and wait 30 seconds
8. Power ON the MPC while holding down the [ERASE] button (this will reinitialize the MPC)

Je me permets de poster dans ce topic parce que j'en ai crée un aujourd'hui au sujet d'un problème que j'ai avec ma nouvelle MPC500 (elle affiche "No OS found ; System halt!") ; J'ai donc voulu updater l'OS vu que c'est ce qui semble poser problème, mais comment puis je faire puisque ma MPC ne veut pas se mettre en mode LOAD [MODE + PAD2] puisqu'elle se met automatiquement sur "No OS found ; System halt!"???
Je sais c'est une question un peu relou mais bon si quelqu'un pouvait m'aider ca serait cool.

Charge le fichier 1.30 sur le site d'akai et suis la procédure.. Ca mettra à jour ton OS.. qui a du prendre un shoot !

Ah j'ai lu trop vite..
il faut que tu mettes le fichier d'OS sur ta carte CF via un pc par exemple.. avec un ptit lecteur de carte !

-Appuyer sur REC pour lancer l'installation
Seulement encore un problème :
La MPC inscrit "Flash erasing..." ce qui semble être la 1ère étape de la mise à jour mais plus rien ne se passe, la machine reste bloqué à ce moment là.
Que faire ?
-Allumer la MPC en maitenant SHIFT
