(à noter qu'il existe une vidéo pirate contenant une partie de ce matériel, issue d'un concert TV - sans public - enregistré par la chaine californienne KQED).
- film amateur en Super8 réalisé par un fan lors du concert de Dortmund de février 1981 (10 bobines de 3mn17" chacune) ;
- filmage pro de quelques morceaux (20 mn en tout) lors des concerts donnés à Earls Court (Londres) en juin 1981, destinés à être inclus dans le film.
Enfin, le principal (sans doute ce qui circule sur Youtube) : plusieurs concerts complets ont été filmés à Londres et New-York en 1980, par plusieurs caméras placée sous la direction du responsable lumière des concerts (Marc Brickman). Il semble malheureusement que les conditions n'étaient pas idéales et le résultat n'a en général pas la qualité pro : les vidéos sont granuleuses et manquent de lumière, d'après Gilmour (toutefois, Howard Lamden, l'auteur d'un documentaire intitulé ... The Lost Documentary, aurait réussi à monter une vidéo "diffusable" de 2h en compilant des extraits des concerts d'Earls Court d'août 1980).
Toutes les bandes de ces concerts de 1980 sont sous le contrôle de Roger Waters, qui à longtemps refusé d'envisager une sortie commerciale, parce que : "it does not do justice to what was a very theatrical event." (interview de 1987). Mais il aurait déclaré récemment (août 2004) : "That could happen. [...] I think it's quite an interesting historical document, so yeah, I think it will definitely become available at some point quite soon."

Réponse de fan pas très originale : Gilmour pour la virtuosité et son timbre de voix étheré... Waters pour la folie, pour les concepts en général, pour The Wall en particulier...
Evidemment que les 2 gars sont complémentaires.
Je n'ai jamais vu Waters en live, mais sa prestation vocale au live8 m'a fait de la peine...
En revanche le concert de Gilmour à Vienne reste un des meilleurs concerts de ma vie. Quand les premières notes de Breathe et Time ont résonné, j'ai eu des frissons et une boule dans la gorge d'émotions... Sans parler des versions de Shine on, Echoes, comfortably numb, arnold layne... Avec en bonus Richard Wright aux claviers...

Here's a summary of 'Remember That Night':
- It's released on Monday 17 September in Europe, Tuesday 18 September in North America.
- There will be two discs (DVD-9 dual layer discs, in fact, which allow a greater playing time).
- There will be high-resolution versions in both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD to follow the standard release. We'll let you know the release date as soon as we can.
- Disc one is the concert, containing 23 songs from the Royal Albert Hall gigs of May 2006. If you played Blotto, you'll know them by now. Click here if you don't.
- Disc two is full of extras.
- For starters, there are five bonus songs from the Royal Albert Hall: 'Wot's... Uh The Deal, 'Dominoes', 'Wearing The Inside Out', 'Arnold Layne' and 'Comfortably Numb'.
- There will be three documentaries. The main one, 'Breaking Bread, Drinking Wine', contains behind-the-scenes tour footage from the rehearsals in Bray right through to the final show in Gdansk.
- There's also a short film from America's West Coast. Richard Wright is to blame for shooting some of the backstage footage.
- The third is a documentary on the making of the 'On An Island' album. This is an edited version of the Electronic Press Kit (EPK), but with some extra songs from the recording sessions.
- The tracks 'Castellorizon', 'On An Island', 'The Blue', 'Take A Breath' and 'High Hopes', from London's Mermaid Theatre (March 2006), will be included.

Une question puisqu'il y a des gens instruits ici :
Pourquoi n'ont-ils jamais sorti une vidéo live "officielle" des concerts de The Wall ? On trouve à peu près tout sur Youtube, donc quelqu'un a bien filmé
