Quand j'ecoute Eno, j'ai l'impression que ses oeuvres écrites il y a 20 ans, auraient pu être ecrites aujourd'hui: c'est intemporelle. Ce gars là, c'est un génie et un putain de sound designer!!!! qu'est ce que vous en pensez? :bravo:

J'aime les productions qu'il a fait pour Bowie ( Low, Heroes et surtout surtout Outside.). Quand il est avec Bowie, tu sens la patte d'ENO...

Perso,je prefère ses reflexions sur la musique, et son travail dans roxy music.

Eno dans les années 80, c'etait plannant et profond, tellement profond que ça me fait déprimer... La musique d'Eno est sombre et à la fois paradisiaque... Bon, j'arrete là... Faut que j'aille me coucher sinon ça va partir en live... :oo:

D'ailleur en parlant d'Eno, ça me fait penser à "By this river" reprise par Martin L Gore. Elle est magnifique.

Brian Eno est il un génie ? je ne sais pas mais son oeuvre theorique (et pratique) est considérable. toute personne s'interessant à la production et aux techniques musicales doit se pencher sur le crane chauve du bonhomme (tres sympathique au demeurant, l'ayant rencontré lors d'une seance de dedicace)

bien sur tout le monde retient l'ambiant ,créé par hasard (maitre mot de son travail) alors qu'il avait une jambe dans le platre.
mais il y a aussi toutes ses collaborations (david byrne, peter gabriel,harold budd,john cale...), ses productions (u2, bowie, genesis...)

il ne s'est jamais prétendu musicien, tout ce qu'il a fait n'est pas transcendant (une bonne centaine de disques portent son nom) mais sans lui le monde de la musique serait tres different (mais il n'a pas empeché star academy :lol: )

je vous conseille les 246 pages de
Brian Eno: His Music and the Vertical Color of Sound
de Eric Tamm avec analyse harmonique des morceaux, techniques d'enregistrement etc...

qu'on peut choper sur amazon (au hasard) pour approfondir tout ca. lisez aussi son journal. si absolument aucune de ses idées ne remet en question votre maniere de travailler,c'est que vous etes deja un genie :bravo: mais que faites vous alors sur ce forum ?
