Je l’ai toujours dit ici. Il ne faut se dire j’en aurai 1 demain.

Non plutôt se mettre sur la liste et un (futur lointain ) lorsque cela arrivera tu pourra passer à celui ci. Ou le revendre car de toute façon , ça reste pas longtemps en occasion.


Pour info : ça permet aussi de comprendre pourquoi on passe de 20 mois à 3 ans.

We are currently up to May 18th 2018 on the list.
There are a few more units to build from our current stock of parts, then there will be a break in production until more boards arrive late October.
The deliveries due then will use all the remaining stock of components we have, and should be large enough to reach the end of 2019 on the waiting list.
Until this year, after the long delay getting into production because of covid lockdowns, we were doing a lot of thru-hole assembly on PCBs here to keep the initial costs down. Assembly has been much more efficient for the last production run, since we were able to move to fully out-sourced population of the boards. We expect it to take until spring next year to get the remaining units out, so the wait time should be reduced to about 3 and a half years

What will happen in the second half of next year is impossible to predict.
If we could repeat the order sizes we're expecting now, then we should be able to reach the end of 2021 on the waiting list by the end of next year, and probably eliminate it by the end of 2024.
However, that needs all the components to be available.
If you're not aware of the global semiconductor crisis, you might like to google it for background.
In March last year, the quoted lead time on the CK2 CPU increased to a 1 year, and the part became out of stock everywhere except "non-authorized distributors" (i.e. price gouging speculators selling possible fakes or pulls).
The units we are building now have CPUs I panic-bought when I found out about the shortages, from the last stock that Mouser and Farnell had.
It has, as far as I can tell, not been in stock with any secondary distributor since then.
If the biggest customers need more chips than the manufacturers can supply, there are none to spare for the little guys.
There is no clear indication from the manufacturer when it will be available again, beyond their "hoping the situation will start to return to normal in 2023".
We basically just have to order the chips, and sit it out until they arrive.
Or we could order chips from the gougers, at 20x markup. You can imagine the necessary effect that would have on unit cost.
We are already in a position where will have to raise our prices.
The current order of UI boards that we are expecting increased in price by over 30% per unit since the previous order for exactly the same boards.
At least, unlike some of our friends in the Eurorack world, we should be able to survive even if it takes until 2024 to get more parts.
I've been working on other projects too, using entirely different chips, so we should at least be able to produce something, if we can't build Cirklons for a while.

En effet, un mail pour être sur la liste n'engage en rien, le paiement s'effectue lorsque vous recevez un mail de Barbara annonçant "your Cirklon is ready" :)

A mon avis il en produit suffisamment / ils sont 2 je crois , il maîtrise son code le hardware le software et les montait lui même. Il devait avoir une marge correcte .

Un peu comme un facteur de piano ou d’orgue.

Ce n’est pas la quantité qui compte pour ce genre de matos. Quand tu vois qu’il u a des updates tous les mois… depuis le début … on est pas dans la politique de korg roland ou élektron.

Cela a déjà commencé chez certains producteurs "boutique".
Pour les autres, le tout est d'arriver à passer la tempête, puisque maintenant on nous annonce une chute des prix liée aux surcapacités de production qui vont arriver du fait de la relocalisation stratégique des usines de semi-conducteurs.

La relocalisation même si je ne connais pas grand chose ne devrait pas arriver immédiatement malgré tout
Et si ce n’est pas le cas alors tant mieux

j'ai vu que le Deluge était maintenant équipé d'un écran correct
(petit écran OLED qui vient remplacer l'ancien afficheur alphanumérique)
